A very nice, relaxing vacation spot for my family. The beaches were great and our room had a gorgeous view. The staff was beyond friendly and helpful. The gentleman who checked us in, Rudy, was especially friendly and helpful. He made sure we had everything we needed

Nice place especially for families but the complex needs some renovation, it's dated. The breakfast is expensive 18 euros per adult (half price for the children under 12), it's too much for families with 2 or 3 children/teenagers. The kitchen outside is a nice idea but the dishes should be kept in a closed shelf....ours wasn't so we almost didn't use it. Overall, a good experience.

Several days notice given that I couldn’t stay because of flight cancellations but no refund offered - they pocketed full amount. Be careful.

The whole environment is Clean, rejoiceful, quiet and staffs are very professional, diligent and courteous. THe food are exquisite, tasty and healthy. The only thing that I would suggest to add is the (Cart service) from the reception desk to the room up the hill to hep with ehe luggage if you arrive at night else it was a glorious and wonderful location to spend your vacations. Definitively a A++ residence hotel in between your dream vacations and the nature and the sea

It is a very good place to relax and disconnect.
Positives
The grounds are very well maintained. The estate is very pretty.
2 small beaches literally on the grounds of the estate. Beautiful sand and water. Super convenient.
Nicely designed swimming pools.
Activities on site.
One delicious restaurant on site.
Air conditioning in the rooms.
Facilities to cook your own food and experience the local fruits and vegetables.
Nature all round and plenty of hiking paths.
Negatives
I went when it wasn't busy season. I suspect that at busy season, the place gets packed and the small beaches and the pool are impossible to find space on.
The property is quite far east on the island. It makes it tedious to explore Basse terre or the north of grande terre.
Phone signal is miserableness. Most of the time: no signal.
WiFi was down for 4 days out of an 8 day stay. None was in a hurry to fix it. No real apology.
The car park is in the baking sun. No shade. Your car is an oven by 9am.
The area near the reception is loud during the day and evenings.

If so and you rent a car, then this is the place for you !! If you don't on either point, stay on another island !! We rented a car on arrival and were able to see everything on our own. Do not expect any assistance for anything from the hotel unless French is your PRIMARY language. We opted for the Premium package with half board. On that account our apartment was serviced daily and we did the buffet for breakfast and dinner. The buffet sustained us for the week but we had several negative experiences that affected our stay. Suffice it to say, the French do not cue, they mob. Do not get in between them and a free dinner roll !!! As for the pools and beaches, in the AM a stream of rental cars from local "gites" can be seen flying down the road to the public parking area outside the hotel so that the non-guests can walk up the beach and take up the free chairs and prime areas. That leaves paying guests to fend for themselves. So if they rent a cheap place non beach front this offers them a quality beach experience that guests pay for. So while the Norwegian flight deal was good, after careful consideration I will pass on it next time. I will check the reviews BEFORE I book the flight next time. Shame on me this time, there won't be a next time. MERCI

This hotel was great. Of course it could use an update (especially in the bathroom) but it was still lovely. The hotel is clean the grounds are very well kept. The pools were clean. My husband and I felt very safe even walking at night. The staff was always saying Bonjour to us. Jessica at the front desk was very helpful and one of the few people who spoke English

Our first impression of Pierre and Vacances Residence was not good. We arrived one day early with the hope that we could extend our vacation by a day. Security made it difficult to enter the gate as the language barrier was an issue. When we finally made it through to the front desk, we were pleased to see the beautiful pool against the backdrop of the gorgeous sea. But the sound of very loud music playing continuously on a PA system gave us pause. After over an hour, we were finally permitted to check in. The room was clearly not ready for guests--it was hot, the bathroom towel bar was dangling off the wall, and there were no towels. Still, we were happy to be there and even happier that we were so far away that we could not hear the pounding music. The small problems were fixed by the following day.
Once there, we enjoyed the facilities (two pools!) and the lovely waterfront. The room has an outdoor kitchen and patio so we could make our own breakfast and eat outdoors. The piece de resistance for us was the trail that began on the beach and meandered for many miles through beaches, woods, and cow pastures. We loved it!
There were two restaurants and we tried both. The best was the small beachfront restaurant where the food was beautifully prepared and delicious while the larger restaurant catered to the family crowd, buffet-style. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our vacation at Pierres and Vacances and would return again.

We booked Premium Tamarin studio for 5 nights. The room was good with kitchen facilities and a spacious terrace (see view) located at second floor. The area is very quiet and the beach is small. The entrance into the water requires shoes because of small rocks. Poor snorkeling in the area :(
We rent a car and get to convenient stores or St Anne beach/St Francois area. Overall the hotel is OK for a short vacation or family with children but not recommended for active young couples that would like some night life/entertainment.
