Lovely property with responsive hosts. The bungalow properties are uniquely whimsical and private.
Perfect location outside of the hustle & bustle of Dominical, but a 20 minute drive away. Grocer & restaurants even closer.
No A/C but decent fans available. It’s cooler in the evenings “up the hill” from Dominical.

I thoroughly enjoyed my 5 day stay at Paradise Lodge and my satisfaction began even before arriving on site due to my interaction with the staff, Anja. Not only was this my first stay in the area but it was my first time ever in Costa Rica, and I asked many clarifying questions regarding transportation, dining, and grocery options via email. Anja was very responsive and helpful, which put me at ease and started creating a pleasant customer experience immediately.
Checkin was a breeze; the staff provided assistance with my luggage and ensured I was oriented with the property to me help get settled in. The cabin and grounds were clean and well kept, walk ways were well lit at night, and there was plenty of storage for clothing etc.
I spent my mornings in the kitchen taking my time drinking coffee and making breakfast and enjoyed cooking dinner in the evenings as the kitchen has all necessities; full size fridge/freezer, double gas burners, cookware, plates, cups/glasses etc. Perfect for a several nights stay. Dominical is only about 15-20 minutes away and San Isidro is about 30 minutes the opposite direction. So, you can enjoy the peace and quiet of the low mountains but have great access to the beach and city if you like.
Overall, a wonderful experience at the Paradise Lodge!

the cottage/lodge was great. But on our day of arrival we already noticed that there hardly came out any water out of the tab. I took a shower in the evening - thank God - as the following morning there was none water at all. To pay 134 US $ a night for not having water is kind of a lot
