Room key did not work. Rode the elevator a few trips to get that to work. Even though you cannot access the guest floors, housekeeper was instrumental to assist, however it was a pain going up and down to get it done.
At check in the hotel advised that I could park in the lot next door. They did not have space to park at check in though there is a lot. It leads off to an unknown parking area that has signs for private parking and no sign for the hotel.
After the first night, I was not able to access the elevator to go back to my room. Upon speaking with the receptionist I was supposed to be out of the room and it was reserved for someone else. After showing the hotel.com receipt for 2 days, she advised that there was no reservation number on the receipt or any confirmation from hotels.com. Eventually she put me back in the room with our bags however we were late leaving for a prior engagement.
Nice hotel, convenient, but several issues need to be addressed.

Overall stay was good room was spacious. Only issue we had was plumbing. But overall everything was good.

4th time here. Staff are great. Room is comfortable. No free breakfast and you need a reservation ideally if you want one at their attached restaurant

This is the best hotel in the Youngstown area for location and style. There was a wedding and a prom going on the night we were there, so we didn't get the room type we had reserved. We were told that reservations through Hotels.com (Expedia) are always overbooked and it's to be expected that the preferred room type isn't necessarily available. Our room was also near some sort of plumbing, so all night long we heard flushing and other water flow noises. The hotel bar is nice, but it closes early, so we missed it this time. I'll stay here again, but beware the limitations in amenities.

We arrived in the lobby, luggage and infant in-hand, only to learn that our room had been given away because the hotel allowed some people to extend thier reservations and has a "first-come, first served" overbooking policy. No one even attempted to contact us to say that our room was in jeopardy. We have stayed at this hotel several times before and not even our loyalty was considered.
We were able to find a new hotel but what would we have done if there had been some kind of event in town and hotels were sold out? The Double Tree paid for one night of the stay at our new hotel but that felt quite insufficient given the level of inconvenience.
The hotel tried to point out that this had never happened to us before, during our many stays, as some sort of consolation. How many times do you need to be completely displaced before a complaint has merit?

THEN BILLED ME FOR THE HIGHER PRICED ROOM AT THE DOUBLETREE. Ridiculously unhappy

Hotel was oversold and room was not available. We confirmed the morning of arrival and told we were confirmed. We were sent to another, lesser Hilton property 20 miles away. On arrival there we were told by staff they had our name the day prior. This is not acceptable to first over book. That's Hotel 101. Second lie to you when you confirm and not notify the minute they are aware of the problem. This is not my first issue with Hilton booking. The staff was totally unapologetic tell us "good news" we have booked you at a cappy hotel 20 miles away but won't charge you. How the hell is that "good news".

I wasnt able to check in until 6 pm . I waited 3 hours . Was told room would be available in 20 minutes.

Lovely hotel and walking distance from music venues. We arrived at 5 PM on a Saturday and couldn't get into our room until 650 PM. We were going to a concert that started at 7. That sucked

The overall experience was excellent. We would definitely stay here again if ever in the area. "Cleanliness" received only four-stars as there was a lot of clutter found behind the dresser and table (not visible unless you looked behind the dresser). "Area Around the Property" received only four stars as there was a lot of roadway construction in progress and it made entry to the hotel somewhat confusing - but this is not the fault of the hotel.

When opening the room to the hotel, I was pleased with the layout of the room. I felt the Bistro was a popular attraction and held a sharp atmosphere of classiness.
My only complaint would be the construction around the hotel was inconvenient.

My room was large and comfortable, convenient to the elavators. My only complaint was the shower; you had to get into the shower and turn on the cold water which hit you right in the face while adjusting the temperature. Poor design.
