The door to my room did not lock automatically when the door closed but had to be locked manually from the outside with the key card and there was no way to lock it from inside the room: I was told this was a "feature" the hotel used for certain ski groups (but I wasn't in such a group). As a result, I left my room inadvertently unlocked for a whole day. There's no real security for left luggage: anyone can walk into the lounge area and take your bag. The bed was comfortable and the hot water and wifi both worked well. In-room safe was not large enough for a computer. The hotel claims to have air conditioning but there was certainly no air conditioning in my room. Breakfast begins at 8am so the hotel doesn't work well if you need an early start. The hotel did not print my Saastal card until the morning after I checked in which didn't bother me but could be a real (and very expensive) inconvenience to some people (although other Saas-Fee hotels also do this).

Family run, I was overwhelmed with the kindest of the owners and the staff. So helpful and it was genuine. Lovely, lovely people and there are quirky things around the hotel, books, cards, games etc !
It was like home from home: It was such a wonderful stay, that I extended my holiday again and again
In addition the evening menu and breakfast was exceptional, every time. Nothing was too much bother and it really made my holiday in Saas Fee a brilliant one.
The evening meals are superb. Seriously. They are good.
A wonderful place to stay in Saas Fee.
Great location location. I had a south facing room with balcony.
I’d highly recommend staying there.
Dog friendly, yoga studio and gym.
I’ve made friends for life and will be staying there again for sure :)

Hotel is not those that is near the train station. you need to wallk some distance but it is still walkable. Maybe 10mins with luggage. Hotels looks new. The rooms are modern, clean and new. Smell of fresh wood from the furniture. Hotel has a lift to reach all floors. Breakfast is good with hot food with the view of the Matterhorn. Price is affordable. A good place to stay away from the main shopping street. Short walk along the canal to get to the ropeway station for your rides to Schwarzee and to Matterhorn glacier museum.

I was in Saas Fee for three days hiking in the mountains with my nephew and the hotel was perfect for that purpose. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The bathrooms had very good showers and good length bath tubs. The breakfast had a good selection of food. What really made the hotel excellent were the staff - everyone greeted us with a smile and asked about our day. Finally, the hotel is situated right at the front of the valley, giving unobstructed views of the mountains.

Well-run and modernised with very friendly and efficient staff. Quiet inside due to double-glazing despite bar in street opposite. Saas-Fee is a small but snow-sure resort with an established all-electric transport. It is a very relaxing place to stay. The snow was excellent.

Staff very friendly and food of good quality - the chateaubriand a highlight. Wine list varied and okay for prices. Breakfasts standard and sufficient. Ski boot heaters and ski room good. Rooms clean and beds comfortable.

I've stayed at the Bristol a few times now and it is a great place to stay. Incredibly friendly owners/staff, offer a warm welcome. The rooms are cosy and always warm after a day on the slopes, great views of the mountains from the balcony too.
Location is ideal, restaurants, shops and drinks all on your doorstep but never noisy. Alpine Express 5 mins walk if that, nursery slopes even closer.
Simple breakfast of cereals, cheese, meats, juices, coffee sets you up for the day.
Great spot for a ski trip.

Short walk from nearest (beginner) slope and 5-10 mins from main lift. Simple clean hotel. Fixed menu meals in the evening for moderate price and quality. Very nice and friendly staff. Opposite a outdoor bar that plays really loud music until approx 10pm. Use of the electric car is fairly tight, but it is very close to slopes in any event. WiFi worked but was on open system for first few days. Skiroom easy to use and allows dry warmed boots in the morning (easier to get on). Lots of rental shops and ski-shops in vicinity. I really mean *lots*.
Saas Fee is a very small very friendly resort but which attracts beginners and also seriously good skiers at this time of year. 2016, Pre-Christmas, as I left there were several centimetres of new snow on an firm-to-icy base; and blue skies. Perfect conditions. The local shops range from Migros and Coop to high-level boutiques and tourist shops of all sorts. In general, inexpensive by standards of Alps let alone Swiss Alps. Saas Fee is car-free, and uses electric milk-float-based vehicles internally. I would have classed it as family-friendly.

We stayed at this hotel for one week commencing Sat 5th September 2015 as we had often said that we would like to stay at Hotel Bristol. Our arrival was disappointing to say the least as we were only offered a glass of water on arrival, after a long day, having been up early at 2-45 am and arriving at the hotel in mid afternoon. Our room was much smaller than what we are used to in other hotels in Saas Fee,but it was spotlessly clean with a balcony with excellent views. We had only booked bed and breakfast and the buffet breakfast was very good, with plenty of choice, but only continental breakfast. The waitress was very good indeed and attended to our every need every morning,Our room was comfortable but the beds could have been a little softer, they tended to be a bit on the solid side. The disappointment was that we never saw the bar open at all in the evenings, but this was not too much of a problem,as we know the village well and have our evening drinks at several different locations. We were disappointed that the owners never came to us to introduce themselves at any time during our stay,as we have always been used to the practice of owners doing so wherever we have stayed previously. However our overall opinion was that it was a pretty good holiday hotel and I am sure we would visit again if the occasion arose, and the price was right.

Very friendly, family-run hotel in the heart of Saas Fee. Room nice and comfortable, good breakfast included. Location is good for the drag lift to the Felskinn cable car. Right across the road from the Black Bull apres ski bar, which is ideal if you like gluhwein and music after a day on the slopes, but might be a bit loud in the early evening if you don't, and have a room in the front of the hotel.

Everything was great. Location was great for skiing. The hotel staff picked me up at the bus station and dropped me off as well at no charge - and my outbound trip was at 6am. Good breakfast. Highly recommend.
