Wow! A fascinating and unique nautical experience with great history. Wish we had another day there. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful.

The hotel in located in a beautiful spot in a peninsula in front of Walvis Bay. The place has some kind of uniqueness, as you face the ocean and seals colonies but: - on one side there the seals, but turn your head and you will see oil platforms and many cargos which is a lot less poetic and romantic - worst value for money ever: for such price you get a fix menù (no a la carte), no room cleaning (since it's windy, once you open the big windows in the room you get plenty of sand around...) if you stay more than one night, heating only few hours per night (and it's VERY cold)... - personnel is kind but definitely not up to a luxury style hotel quality/service standard - if you've not got a 4x4 there is a shuttle taking you to the place. Shame that no one tells you that it has a cost and a quite expensive one. you'll just find it on the bill. - You will see only seals. No pelican whatsoever or flamingo That said, the prices - in order to be in line with quality and service offered and with Namibian standards (we've been all over Namibia for over a month), should be cut by at least 50%.

Loved the location. Only guests there. Staff was incredible. Food amazing. Really tough drive through the sand. You NEED a reliable 4x4 and make sure you deflate your tires almost down to flat.
