About this house rental

Dart Retreat is ideal for a quiet family escape, the warm, welcoming cottage is nestled away in a tranquil cul-de-sac, boasting far-reaching views of the River Dart in the village of Stoke Gabriel.

With two bedrooms - 1 x king-size, 1 x twin (zip/link) - a secluded outside space where you can dine alfresco in the summer months, and a well-equipped kitchen and spacious lounge, it’s a perfect retreat for a family of four on the Devon coastline.

On the ground floor, the well-equipped kitchen, fitted with an oven, hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine and tumble dryer ensures an easy self-catered stay. Take it easy in the lounge with garden views, flame glass fronted fire, a large Smart TV, WiFi, sofa seating, and a dining table. Downstairs, you'll also find a convenient WC.

Upstairs, discover picturesque views out to the River Dart from the king-size bedroom, whereas the twin room can be transformed into a super-king-size on request! A family bathroom with a shower over the bath, seperate shower, WC, and basin completes the accommodation.

Right next to the property is Stoke Gabriel Stores and Post Office where you can stock up on fresh meat, fruit, veg, and bakery products, as well as local crafts, gifts, and artwork from the Country Gallery before making your way over to one of the country pubs for a refreshing pint, or take a break from cooking at one of the many village restaurants. Stroll down to the serene River Dart, a stunning location with calm waters and local wildlife, trying your luck at the variety of watersports activities including kayaking, canoeing, or paddleboarding. Alternatively, take the kids over to Mill Hill Pond, grabbing a crabbing line and bucket to catch some crabs as part of a local pastime, or relax at The River Shack café for an afternoon treat, or a morning coffee.

Venture over to the quaint towns of Totnes and Dartmouth, home to a variety of fine eateries, art galleries, and historic attractions, or visit Torquay for an evening of theatre. The Devon coastline is just a short journey away from the property, with a wide selection of sandy beaches, walking trails, secret coves, cycling routes, and much more at locations such as Paignton, Babbacombe, and Brixham.

Off-road parking is included for one car, and we can welcome two well-behaved pets. For bookings and more information, please contact Finest Retreats
