Room was very basic with no tea/coffee making facilities. There was a shared kitchen with lots of unopened packets left inside the cupboard above the cooker. Pool was lovely and great views from the communal area. The TV in the room was very small and the volume wasnt loud enough to hear over the air conditioning. The air conditioning was very poor. The bed was very firm and we were only given one pillow each. Remember to take your own water as there was none available. The breakfast was adequate.

We were on the 1st floor of the villa, and although we’d booked a private bathroom this wasn’t part of the room but across the corridor which was shared with 2 other rooms. Not ideal in the middle of the night!
Window to view was very small and didn’t have a curtain, but actually the location is lovely (10 min drive to Sienna) and breakfast is adequate. Can imagine the pool would be lovely in summer.

The photos are very misleading - this is a very small property, whereas the photos make it look like a huge villa. The pool is very small. The view from the pool area is beautiful though. Our room was fine, but generally a bit run down. Breakfast was solid. The location is pretty far outside of Siena so you need a car to get into the city. Next time, I would stay more in the center of Siena.

Our room was a bit small but very nice. The property was beautiful with a nice pool and a couple of areas to relax with a glass of wine and enjoy the view.
The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was one of the best we had on our trip.
Having a car would be helpful but we used the bus to Siena a couple of times. If you do this make sure to buy tickets beforehand as they are more expensive on the bus.
Overall we loved our stay and would visit again.

We loved our stay a Casale Virgili. Roberto and his staff were all nice and accommodating and made our stay very pleasant. Casale Virgili is like coming home to your mom's home but in Tuscany. The rooms are very basic but ours was clean and comfortable and a good size. Breakfast in the morning was great and there was plenty of food for you to choose from before discovering the area.
Casale Virgili is located outside of the Siena city center, but close enough that driving there was not an issue. It was also pretty good location to see the neighboring and tourist towns in the region as well.
The pool area was clean and nice and had a great view.
If you are looking for a comfortable place to lay your head down after a day of doing the Tuscan countryside than this place if for your. Quiet, comfortable and homey.

Nice view from the property, beds are good. Breakfast is ok but mainly cake, not much wholegrain. Not located in centrum so a car is preferred and they have good parking facilities.

We stayed four nights in this historic house.
What worked for us:
1. Staying close to but not in the city. The bus stop was a 3 minute walk away and we bought tickets from the newstand next to it.
2. Clean and pleasant surroundings.
3. Alessandra the charming owner who was helpful with recommendations.

First the positive; the manager, Roberto, was friendly and did what he could to try and make our 1 night stay (which should have been 2 nights) tolerable by giving us a room with a REAL private bathroom. Now the stuff you need to know before you book a room and what is NOT posted here on the Hotel.com website. The room that they wanted to give us had a detached "private" bathroom that we would have had to pass through the COMMON living room (in our case it was being shared with TWO other families) and across the COMMON hallway. The door to the "private" bathroom is right next to the TWO doors for the other TWO family's rooms. Sooo, picture this, you have to use the restroom at some point during the night or early morning. On your way to your "private" bathroom you cross through the COMMON living room, where little Jimmy is playing with his toy truck and across the COMMON hallway, where one of the wives of the two families (and her little girl) are coming out of their room so your paths cross precariously close, as a matter of fact, wayyyyyy to close! Can you say awkward! Hopefully, before you left your room for your potty adventure you get fully dressed so that things don't get really weird, if you know what I mean! All I'm saying is, Hotels.com needs to make the above so-called "private" bathroom issue very clear to those interested in booking at this hotel. In our case, they did NOT so this stay ended up being a total disaster. We ended up leaving a day early.

Quiet, comfortable, fabulous view. This property is not in town and it does not offer lunch or evening meals. We had a car, free parking, and found several good places nearby to eat. This is the place to stay if you are exploring the wine country.

Roberto and staff were extremely nice and willing to help In anyway. The wine cellar was small but awesome to see. About a 10-15 wall to catch the number 9 bus. Just make sure you are actually and at a bus stop with a sign. We missed it the first time because we were at a different place. I usually prefer a full queen or king size bed, not two twins pushed together. Other than that it was will worth the money.

We stayed at the Casale Virgili for 4 nights. The location is just a short drive away to all the basic amenities we needed. The grounds, buildings and views really provide you with a wonderful Tuscany experience. We had the ground floor 1 bedroom suite which was very spacious. One of our most favourite experiences at Casale Virgili was spending time with Kettie the dog. She is very friendly and pleasure to be with. Roberto who runs the Casale Virgili was very helpful and a really nice guy. We would definitely recommend staying here.
