Worst hotel ever experienced in my life. The hotel is dirty like hell.no towel provided in washroom.Mug provided in washroom looks like most dirtiest mug. May be never washed it. Rooms are most uncleaned. Overall worst experience. But price tag was kept like a 5star hotel. We did not snap any photo because the place was very dirty , very disgusting

This one is close to the station hence very feasible..supportive reception..and all time available travel desk. Cons ... 1. Saw insects in washroom. Later hotek staff came and removed it. 2. Water tap makes sound all day . 3. No water glass availble in room .This is minimum expectation . 4. 1 lit. Water bottle costs Rs. 55 if you order from resturant . Coukd not understand the logic behind this . 5. Doors are very hard to open ...very tight.

The room was spacious, we had 2 singles beds and 1 king bed. The bathroom was OK. The hotel is located next to a wedding hall which was so disturbing (music, firework, etc). The restaurant serves very delicious food. The hotel is relatively far away from the Ganges River, around 20 minutes by tuktuk but close to a shopping district

Well, unfriendly receptionist who did not seem to understand the difference between a passport and a driver’s license. Guest rooms are next to the reception/lobby area, too noisy. Leaky bathroom fixtures, stained wall, muggy room, while the room itself was relatively clean its nowhere to be 3star standard. I really do not know how hotels in India given ‘star status’, perhaps themselves! If you are visiting for a short business trip may be you can tolerate, but if you want your money’s worth go to a real start hotel or go to the ghats.

The hotel was all right - reasonably clean and comfortable. The location was decent - close to the river, the ghats etc but far enough removed not to be in the middle of the chaos. What disturbed me, however, was to inadvertently witness an incident while passing through reception where the manager was physically and verbally abusive to one of his staff members. It stopped when they became aware that I had come downstairs, but what I saw was deeply concerning. Although the hotel was decent and good value, this would definitely deter me from returning to the hotel.

Cleanliness of hotel is not upto standards. Insects such as cockroaches, crickets, etc were found inside rooms, toilets, etc. Despite requesting hotel staff to clean the room, there was no room cleaning during two days of our stay at the hotel. Food service took around 40 minutes. Leave much improvement to be expected

The manager was rude from the start. The repair works were ongoing which resulted in dust everywhere and noise outside room till late but hotel made no effort to improve guest comfort. Despite room being dusty due to repair work outside noone bothered cleaning until requested. There was no hot water for shower. Even toilet paper needed to asked for. Overall hotel is not value for money.

I recommend Hotel Varuna to all those who wish to have a comfortable stay in Varanasi. Food they provide is delicious. Staff is polite. Manager is pleasant. The only drawback is that the location of the hotel is inconvenient for all those who wish to frequent the ghats, Sarnath, etc.

Room was full of rainy flies when i entered but i booked it at very last moment and checked in after 15 mins after booking. However It was cleaned after asking. Service was too good. Refrigerator was not clean. Overall good hotel in this budget.
