Nice, quiet accommodation, friendly staff. The room was well equipped, there was even a small fridge. Access from the main road and the beach is via many steps and a steep incline, so it is recommended primarily for young people or those traveling by car. It is very difficult to find parking around the hotel in the evening, so we think it is worth returning before 6 pm. We were locked out on the terrace once, only with the help of the staff did we manage to get back to our room, luckily it was not at night. It would be worth installing rubber dampers on the room doors, so that the doors would not slam loudly at night. Otherwise, the accommodation suited us perfectly.

Hotel itself was great, easy check in, kind staff.
Room was a queen-sized room with private bathroom, very clean & spacious.
Breakfast was tasty with musli, toast, kakes, fruit in syrup, cereals, continental meats, eggs and a juice & coffee machine, but if you unfortunately have dietary restrictions it is a little steep at €7.50. (This isn't a critisism, I just ran the risk :) ) as there was My problem in the layout was that it was ground floor, 2nd in from reception, with it's outside terrace & door opening onto a patio people could walk past & staris leading to other apartments infront leaving no privacy in the room with the curtains open. The bathroom also had no vent, but holes to the neighbours terrace, meaning every whisper of theirs & indeed every noise inside could be heard. This was a little uncomfortable having expected a private bathroom.
The noise from those checking out at the front desk leaves you unable to lie in past 8am which is a shame.
I would stay here again, but not in the same room, perhaps one higher up.

I stayed from August 26 to August 30. It was peak season, but it was relatively cheap, so I didn‘t have high expectations, but it was a single room with a bathroom and toilet that I could use alone, and the owner was very kind. I asked if there was a coffee pot because I needed to drink hot water, and they brought it to my room so I could use it. And the hotel was located in a relatively quiet residential area, so it was the perfect place to relax as originally planned. There was also a well-maintained swimming pool that was open from 10:00 to 19:00, and the view of Mt. Teide from the rooftop was amazing. It was a very satisfying trip, and if I come back to Tenerife, I will definitely book and stay there again. Highly recommended👍

Excellent value - very clean, comfortable and friendly, with all facilities you could need.
It is a walk from the main town centre, and the hill is steep, so need to be mobile, or happy to use taxis.
But the walk is worth it as the location is peaceful.
Reception area and stairs are all stone/marble so noise does travel - especially to ground floor rooms. And walls are thin too, so occasional interrupted sleep. Nothing too dramatic though.
But with good facilities, clean rooms, attentive staff, lovely roof sun terrace and a pool the Don Candido is excellent value for money and would definitely choose again.

The hotel is located in a residential area so it is quiet & safe. Bus transport to all areas of island is located at nearby main road. Walking distance to town centre. If you don't want to walk back up hill to the hotel, take the frequent buses. Plenty of inexpensive cafes/restaurants near hotel. Highly recommended.

The first time a spent one night in the hotel one week before. On the second day of my second visit the otherwise very friendly receptionist woke me up and said by order of the chef I had to pay for the whole stay immidiatly. The TV and the main light didnt work, which I reported
but nothing happened. You couldnt regulate the temperature of the shower, only rather hot water. The only good thing was the relatvily low price compared to the very high prices of the other hotels on the island

Nice little quiet place with it's own little pool in the shade. Close to car rental and walking distance to the beach and busy areas.
Staff very easy going and welcoming.
Feels very private.
Walls are not very thick - you can hear neighbours, but that's about it.
Thanks

This is a great little place. It's a small, quiet hotel. Our room had a queen bed and bunkbeds, large bedroom and a balcony with tables, chairs and a clothes airer.
We stayed over Christmas so the room wasn't cleaned as often as usual but it didn't matter. There was an abundance of towels and a fridge which was really handy for drinks. Found it odd there was no soap so we bought some.
There is a small swimming pool (cold water) and an area with chairs/tables/loungers but the sun never reaches the pool area. The seating area around the front does get the sun.
You can order breakfast the night before for 7euros but we didn't do this so can't comment on that.
It's up a very steep hill, we walked it a couple of times but it was only 4euros for a taxi from the centre so we did that mostly when returning at night.
Walking down into town took just over 10 minutes and from there you can wander to the port/old town, beaches, bars/restaurants, Loro Park (well worth a visit!) etc.
We had a hire car (which we didn't really need) and it could be tricky finding a parking space sometimes.
Only real criticism was the showerhead needs fixing but we managed (and should have told them but never got round to it).
Overall, we can't fault the place, it was fantastic value for money when compared to other hotels and we would stay there again. If you're looking for safe, basic and clean as a base, rather than fancy hotel you'd stop at all day, this is the place for you.

Most confortable madrass ever, and large bed. Clean hotel, nice room, and very friendly and helpful staff.
The area where the hotel is located is safe and calm - parking on the streets around the hotel
Is free, as the hotel advertises, but is very difficult at all times. The breakfast is a little basic- it would improve exponentially with a few fresh options (ex bread / fruit).

Nice hotel in a quiet cul-de-sac. Really friendly staff. No AC in the rooms just a ceiling fan, which wasn’t good enough tbh. Needs a little updating however you get what you pay for.

Not a bad hotel to stay if I’m honest, I was shown a balcony on my booking when I booked a room but turned out I was put down stairs which was annoying, the pool was full of dead insects and leaves and other bits which put me off going into to it so I decided to go elsewere or even go swimmming in the sea. The area the hotel is in seems abit rough buildings look like there falling apart, swings missing off the park. The staff was friendly especially a young lad that worked there. He always asked if I needed anything but the other staff kept talking to me in Spanish when I told them a few times I don’t speak Spanish. My room was cleaned everyday apart from the weekend and the pool was closed on Sunday after it had been cleaned so again I had to go out of my area to sit by a pool which was annoying. Breakfast was great I won’t lie! Good coffee machine and juice machine, the food was always fresh, always had different food each day and a lot of choice.
