About this house rental
Built in 1894, our home is a protected structure within the Telluride National Historic Landmark District. We have carefully and thoughtfully renovated the house with quality furnishings, finishes, appliances and more throughout.
Centrally located to everything Telluride has to offer. Two to four blocks from downtown, restaurants, grocery, ski lifts, gondola, hiking trails and more. A vehicle is not necessary but private parking for one vehicle is available.
The combined Living and Dining area encompass what was the original house, built in 1894. Very comfortable with wainscot paneling, a 9’ high ceiling, laminate wood flooring and comfortable furnishings. Warm LED lighting has independent dimmer controls. There are large windows with honeycomb shades that provide both ample natural light and adjustable privacy.
The rest of our home consists of Kitchen, Bedroom, Bath, Laundry, Pantry and Utility rooms that are all in an addition that was built by Mark in 1987.
Mark is a skilled craftsman and Karen has a refined interior design aesthetic. All of the spaces, fixtures, finishes and furnishings have been recently upgraded and renovated.
The Bedroom features red oak flooring and a new king sized luxury memory foam mattress on a hardwood platform frame. There is dimmable recessed LED lighting as well as individual wall mounted dimmable LED bedside reading lamps. A large window with a honeycomb shade provides fresh air and natural light. The built in shelving and drawer system in the closet allows for plenty of storage.
There is a comfortable sleeper sofa in the Living Room with queen size memory foam mattress that provides sleeping space for an extra guest.
An entertainment cabinet in the Living Room holds a smart TV setup with Google Chromecast. There is also a set of wireless headphones for the TV and a streaming music player. Note: Streaming TV services require guest accounts to access. Traditional cable is not available.
Dining for four people and a dedicated Work Station/Desk are adjacent to the Living area.
The Bathroom features an extra wide deep soak bathtub. A new tankless water heater provides unlimited hot water.
The newly renovated and modernized Kitchen includes cabinets with roll out shelves. All stainless steel appliances including a new Electric Range, Refrigerator/Freezer and Dishwasher. There is a deep stainless steel two basin sink with disposal. Warm composite counter tops, subway tile backsplash, vaulted ceiling with skylight and organic cork flooring combine to create a very welcoming environment for cooking and meal preparation.
Fully stocked with tableware, glasses and quality cookware. A blender, toaster, microwave, coffee maker and many extras are all available for your use. A generous assortment of spices and other essentials are provided. There is a large pantry for food storage and a full sized Washer and Dryer for laundry.
The rear entry door opens into a Mud Room with ample space for boots, shoes, jackets, and skis.
The private rear yard patio is a wonderful place to relax in the warmer months. A gas grill, fire bowl and patio furniture are in place. There is a small shed that can be used to store a bicycle or two. Beyond the Patio is a parking space for a vehicle
We are a team and do everything from handling all the bookings and questions to cleaning and maintenance. When booking your visit you will not deal with the hassles of large property management companies that remotely oversee dozens of units.
