** When renting our home please keep in mind we are in a very rural area, you will be on 12 private acres in the high desert. It is very quiet and peaceful and our house is surrounded by unbothered desert, the natural foliage you will find on the property is mostly pinons, junipers, and prickly pear cactus.

With nature comes wildlife, from coyotes, owls, elk, deer, javelina, hawks, jack rabbits, and bobcats to the smaller critters like, birds, mice, snakes, desert gophers, ground squirrels, salamanders, and depending on the time of year, some bugs (butterflies, moths, crickets, grasshoppers, flies, spiders, ants), you never know what might be foraging by.

No need to fear, the desert and mountains are their homes first and ours second, and they make the desert magic come to life. That said, although we do our very best to keep our home pest free with regular pest control, there are times when some wildlife/critters will come inside (usually spiders/flies/moths), we usually find them by the windows and doors trying to figure out why there's light in the otherwise pitch black desert at night.

Try to keep windows and doors closed, especially at night when the lights are on, to prevent them coming in for a visit.

Enjoy and embrace the desert life!!

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the entire property and the outdoor deck space directly in front of the house connected by the walkway. Any areas inaccessible to guests will be locked behind keypads and/or locks.

The $35 Grand Canyon national park entrance pass (not included) is good for the whole week with tons of activities and adventures, so consider staying long enough to get the full Grand Canyon experience. Discover a new adventure every day from this ideal location base to explore all that Grand Canyon has to offer like hiking, horseback riding, whitewater rafting, and much more! In the town of Williams, enjoy Bearizona Wildlife Park, Canyon Coaster Adventure Park, the historic Grand Canyon Railway, public swimming pool, and local shopping and restaurants.

The Neighborhood:
The Grand Canyon Junction/Valle area serves as a stunning gateway to the immense beauty and grandeur of the Grand Canyon. Located at the intersection of vital routes near the South Rim, this area offers visitors a first glimpse into the breathtaking landscapes that have enchanted millions. The natural beauty of the region is characterized by expansive views of layered rock formations that reveal millions of years of geological history. Visitors can enjoy a range of outdoor activities including hiking, photography, and scenic drives that explore the vast, rugged terrain. The area also provides essential amenities and accommodations, making it an ideal starting point for those looking to immerse themselves in the wonders of one of America’s most iconic natural landmarks.

Getting Around:
You need to drive on an unpaved “backcountry” style road for 1.5 miles to get to the property from Highway 64. The road is rough in places – but overall it’s well-maintained. Any vehicle can get through – SUV with AWD is recommended (especially when its snowing) but not necessary.

No UBER or LYFT (ride share) service in this area, so your own car or a rental car will be required to get around.

Other Things to Note:
★ Other Things to Note ★

Pets ARE allowed depending on size, please let us know beforehand and be upfront about bringing a pet to avoid cancellation. The following additional pet cleaning fee applies :

$50 flat fee + $25/night/pet (per night per pet)

- The county has imposed a temporary fire restriction for the area due to high brush fire danger so there cannot be any campfires outside at this time. Thank you so much for your understanding.
- Please do not flush any non-biodegradable items (including flushable wipes) and food items down the drains and toilets as the property is on a septic system and such items are not healthy for septic systems.
- Since the area is rural and the internet is satellite-based with Starlink, the connection can go in and out from time to time depending on obstructions in the sky and other factors, and is not always consistent.
- We provide all of our guests a starter kit of consumables such as toilet paper, paper towels, laundry pods, dishwasher pods, etc. Guests can purchase any additional consumables from nearby grocery/convenience stores that you think you might need during your stay beyond what's included in the starter kit. We HIGHLY recommend stopping by the Safeway in Williams for groceries and additional supplies as you see fit.
- Our house is on the electrical grid; however, water and propane gas (for water heating and clothes dryer) are hauled in weekly when weather and road conditions permit since we are in a very rural area. Please be conservative with water usage during showers, washing dishes and doing laundry while the windows and doors are open. We greatly appreciate it.
- We would love to welcome guests who book our home the same day of their arrival, but please be aware that your check-in may be a bit delayed (to as late as 7 pm) as we rush to prepare the unit for your arrival. Guests who book more than 24 hours in advance will be able to check-in by 4 pm.
