Our stay started well with a friendly welcome and the warmth continued throughout our stay, felt sad to leave.
The room was clean and comfortable, with plenty of storage space. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice and all delicious.
A great bonus of Tregella is that it’s close to the beach (any closer and it would be on the beach) and close to the town centre but on a quiet road.

The Tregella is perfectly located overlooking the beach and is walking distance to all of the shops and restaurants. Chris made our stay memorable from start to finish as nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended when staying in Cornwall.

Arrived and greeted by the owner. Extremely welcoming and friendly. Almost felt like see a long lost family member.
Room was big with a massive ensuite. Everything and more you can want in a room. Unlike most places loads of wooden hangers so could hang everything up. Even little touches like plates knives folks glassware (guesing if you had a take away in the evening time). Bed side lamps had 2 usb charging points in them so no need to pull out the bedside table.
Breakfast was lovely. Lots to select from. Cooked breakfast was great.
Cant say enough good things about this hotel. Happily book again

We are very and happy to have found this place. Chris was helpful in any possible way and we felt welcomed from the first minute. It is clean, the location is central by the beach, they have the fluffiest towels in the world, breakfast is very good. We can only recommend it :).

Tregella Guest House is pretty much what I expected from a traditional British B&B. It is modern and fresh mixed with a classic theme which reflects the original building.
It is well located on the cliff top in a quiet part of central Newquay. Parking is either on-street, but tight for larger cars, and I was lucky to get the last space every evening (in April). Otherwise it would have been a few minutes walk away to the public car park which is free overnight (4pm -9am).
I opted for a room which gave me lovely views and a king size bed, however I was aware this would mean I needed to share the toilet and bathroom with others. I was fortunate in that there was only one night when there was someone else sharing. It wasn’t clear how many rooms would make use of the shared facilities.
The bed was extremely comfortable with sumptuous bedding.
Cleanliness was generally good, but the devil is in the detail, and I have a tendency to notice - the front half of the wardrobe top didn’t have any dust, and the underside of the shared toilet seat had the same few small splash marks while I was there.
Breakfast was good. While there was a good selection of cereals, pre-packaged pastries, toast and a fruit bowl, for me, it all comes down to the cooked breakfast - the Full English. The bacon was really tasty and and egg was well cooked. Some days I got a hash brown, other days a mini potato waffle or two. I think larger portions would be better but I didn’t like to ask.
