We loved the resort. It is really unfortunate that the pool bar/restaurant was under renovations (we did know that - not until after we booked, but we knew before we were arriving). It would have been very convenient to be able to grab lunch or drinks. And I wish they would have provided an alternative (order food, provide a small bar, or something) during this time. But that being said, we still loved our stay. We came during the off-season so the place was basically empty. We had our choice of chairs either at the beach or by the pool(s). Our room was a basic studio with botanical view and perfectly nice for us. Balcony overlooked the quiet pool and lovely landscaping. Rooms were very clean. Having use of the bikes was really nice! We biked to pick up groceries a couple days. The front desk staff, bellhop and housekeepers were all incredibly nice. The guys at the towel hut by the beach were not super friendly and generally unhelpful - they seemed annoyed to even be there. Overall we loved our stay and would definitely return.

Great place to stay. The units are nicely decorated and furnished, our view was beautiful. The landscaping is mature and well maintained, plenty of variety and flowering plants. The beach is beautiful and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Sherman is a great ambassador for RWI.

The staff were absolutely amazing and when a taxi was needed they would set it up for us! The property was absolutely beautiful and we were there the last day the restaurant was open before remodeling and it was absolutely amazing.

On the positive side, the resort was clean, and the beach was absolutely beautiful—a true paradise. The office staff, housekeeping, and especially Sherman at the door were all fantastic. However, there were several major downsides that greatly impacted our experience. The restaurant at the property was closed due to renovations, which made it extremely inconvenient, especially since we weren't informed of this beforehand. The restaurant is located right by the pool, so the ongoing construction made it incredibly noisy at the pool area, disrupting our stay by the pool. The biggest disappointment, though, was the beach staff. They were simply awful—rude, unhelpful, and easily the worst experience I’ve ever had with resort staff in my life. Their lack of professionalism and poor attitude completely ruined the beach experience. While Turks and Caicos is a wonderful destination, I would not recommend wasting your precious vacation time at this hotel.

This was not our first time at this resort, and we will be back again. We had a great time, and this place sits on the best beach. Also, the food at the restaurant was very good. Staff is very welcoming and makes you feel home. Highly recommend.

The property was an excellent choice, quiet, close to the beach. Staff was excellent in every aspect. But there are some downsides. 1st transportation is not provided so if you want to go somewhere you will have to take a taxi. Also bring an adequate amount of money, everybody does not accept cards especially the taxi's and ATM's are not readily available.

I loved my stay here at the Royal West Indies. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was always cleaned and maintained, the pools were spotless, and the beach beautiful. The food at the restaurant was delicious and perfect quantity. Only negatives was that I wished we had known you needed reservations for the lobster night on Wednesday. And that the adult only pool was actually kept adult only. Nonetheless, I will be back soon.
