The Space:
While perched on the backside of the Mesa in a quiet neighborhood, beaches, downtown, shopping, and dining are all only a short drive away.

After approaching the spacious driveway, guests enter into a bright open floor plan. The interior is clad with carefully selected coastal decor and furnishings. The common living space seamlessly connects the living room, kitchen, and dining area. The living room has plush seating options placed around a gorgeous stone fireplace and flat screen TV. After a day at the beach, this is the perfect spot to light a fire and get cozy on the sofa for a movie. WIFI is also provided for your convenience. Guests are sure to enjoy the central air conditioning to fight off those humid California days. A half bathroom is found right around the corner for all guests to access.

The kitchen is fully equipped with white appliances which include a double oven. Anyone will enjoy cooking tasty treats and mouthwatering meals in here. A breakfast nook is tucked away in the corner for dining space. When your meals are hot and ready to be served, call everyone over to the formal dining table with seating for ten. Dine, drink, and unwind over a home cooked meal.

Four bedrooms are arranged off of the main living space. The master bedroom has a luxurious King-size bed, TV, has doors to the back patio, and has an attached master bathroom. The master bathroom is spa-worthy with a soaker bathtub, walk-in shower, and dual sinks. The first guest bedroom is furnished with a Queen-size bed and has an attached guest bathroom with a shower/tub combo. The second guest bedroom similarly has a Queen-size bed and attached guest bathroom with a walk-in shower. The last guest bedroom also has a Queen-size bed and adjacent is a guest bathroom with a walk-in shower.

You will spend hours relaxing in the extensive backyard. From an outdoor fireplace, hot tub, and dining set, you will never get tired of looking at the mesmerizing view of the city below. At night gather around the fireplace and watch as the city below lights up. If you enjoy dining alfresco, fire up the grill and take a seat. If any of your guests have appeared to have gone missing, they are likely soaking in the private hot tub. After a dip in the hot tub, a washer and dryer can be found back inside the home - ideal for any wet swimsuits. The downstairs theater room has seats for the whole family to enjoy television on a big screen or pop some popcorn and settle in for movie night.

A mid-stay clean is required in this home. After every 15th day, housekeeping will stop by to clean the home to ensure the property stays in great condition. The property is connected to an avocado/ citrus orchard and the owner will likely need to work on and around the property during stays.

This beautiful and quiet home is simply the best property we've rented in Santa Barbara. The location on the Mesa is close to everything and the spectacular views of the city and mountains are incredible. The home was outfitted with every amenity you could possibly need, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. We just loved every minute of our stay!

The house and view is amazing !!, the decor, mattress, everything at the house, everthing is better than any 5 star hotel. When something needed repair it took less than 8 hours snd it was solve. The living room, rooms, kitchen is cozy, and perfect. Feels like a home, with everything you need … the best vacation rental i have ever stayed. I just dream to be back, thank you

The pictures do not do Mira Vista Retreat justice. This hilltop house above Mesa overlooks the entirety of downtown Santa Barbara and, if you walk around the 4 acre working avocado grove on the premises, the Pacific Ocean. As mentioned, the property is somewhat of a working agriturismo with avocados, oranges, lemons and mint surrounding the home, and will see gardeners periodically. Yet despite its size, it is only a 6 minute drive from State Street and all the restaurants and bars downtown Santa Barbara has to offer. The home is incredibly quiet, full of light, has high ceilings, an excellent open concept and offers every amenity you may need to make for a comfortable and memorable stay with your family. There is a chef's kitchen, two washer/dryers, and a basement home theatre with stadium seating not included in the photos. Hot tub and outdoor fireplace for cool nights, built-in grill for al fresco dining. There were days where all we wanted to do was crack open a bottle of wine and watch the colors of the distant mountain range change as the sun set from behind us. We stayed in this house for just over a month and couldn't be happier with the amenities. This truly felt like home to us. The property managers, Jennet, Stephanie and Jason were always available to address our needs and quick to resolve any issues we encountered. They were genuinely interested in ensuring that we had a wonderful stay - and we did. Hats off to them. If you are balancing this with another property, know that you cant beat the location, you cant beat the views, and the service was perfection. Don't even bother reviewing another listing, you've made your choice.

My husband and I hosted 3 other couples who are friends from TX, NY, & AZ. Mira Vista was the perfect setting for our reunion. The location in the Mesa overlooking Santa Barbara is breathtaking. The home is lovely... well appointed for a group to share common areas as well as king or queen bedrooms with en suite bathrooms for privacy. The kitchen is fully equipped for entertaining inside and out. We had a fabulous local chef come in the first night...made for a wonderful, relaxing evening. Massages for all the next day at Mira Vista was also a highlight. Much of our time was spent outside enjoying the natural beauty around us. Santa Barbara & Montecito are both charming, offering great restaurants and specialty shops. We will definitely return to Mira Vista or one of the other properties offered by Invited Home. Of all the sites that I researched, Invited Home is the most professional and has personnel who are both knowledgeable and accommodating.

When my girlfriends and I pulled up into driveway and hopped out of the car, we started jumping up and down like we were 13 years old and going to our first dance. The views are incredible and the layout of the house is perfect for relaxing or entertaining. I was here with my daughters, sister and closest friends to celebrate my 50th birthday. The location is perfect and close to everything. We rode our bikes all the way to Montecito for lunch one day. The outdoor fireplace was the perfect way to unwind at the end of the day. The linens on the beds were some of the most coziest I've ever slept in, it was hard to get out of bed. The only thing that was a drag was the theatre room, we couldn't get the projector to work. (this part of the house needs a little updating), but it wasn't that big of a deal because the tv in the family room is plenty big. I will recommend this place and will definitely book again. We had a lovely stay here and this home exceeded our expectations. Great, spacious indoor and outdoor spaces for hanging out. The bedrooms were extremely quiet and had blackout shades, so we all got great sleep. The location is just a few minutes drive to downtown Santa Barbara and the view can't be beat!

We had a wonderful memory filled week at this estate. The house is well designed and every need was available. Owner has insane taste from decor to the amount of amazing dishes and stemware available. Many a night was spent by the outdoor fireplace overlooking a stunning view. The location was perfection. Not one thing was amiss and loved having two laundry rooms!!

We stayed at Mira Vista for our daughter's graduation from college and were thrilled! This is an incredible home with beautiful yet comfortable furnishings, stunning views of Santa Barbara, and a great location near State Street, the beaches, and grocery stores. It was very well stocked with amenities, such as towels, sheets, dishes, and kitchen supplies. We also loved the theater room, outdoor BBQ, and spa. With 4 separate en-suite bedrooms, this was a perfect choice for 8 adults, and was much more enjoyable then renting hotel rooms. We hope to return soon!

First off, when walking into the home, you feel like you've just walked into a Restoration Hardware showroom. The house was clean, very well furnished, and very comfortable and spacious. The bedrooms all have their own bathrooms, and allowed for an appropriate amount of privacy. There were plenty of towels to use after jumping out of the hot tub (which was just perfect during the brisk Santa Barbara evenings). The outdoor fireplace created the perfect ambiance while having drinks and overlooking Santa Barbara in the evening. We rented some Red Box movies and watched them in the theater room, which was easy to set up using the provided instructions found on the projector. Plus, there is an avocado orchard with countless trees on the property! This house was <2 miles from all the activities that we had planned in downtown, so it was always just a short 5-10 minute drive to get to wherever we wanted to go. This location really couldn't be any better. I would definitely stay here again if I were to go back to Santa Barbara with a group of friends or family. It really felt like home.

I reserved this amazing home for 4 days to celebrate my birthday with some friends. Mira Vista retreat was exactly that, the perfect retreat. The views were fabulous. You can see everything from the Mission down to the ocean (from either end of the property) and all of lower State St. in between. It was so peacefully quiet. The house is stocked to the hilt! If you can't find it in that house, then it simply does not exist! Our stay was so amazing that even those who had never been to Santa Barbara before didn't want to leave the house to see the town! We made every meal there at the house and the kitchen was perfect for preparing meals for 6 people even when we were all in there at the same time. We made good use of the outdoor entertaining area for a traditional Santa Maria style BBQ and hanging out. It was difficult to leave. I felt so at home there. The owners have impeccable taste. If perhaps they are looking to adopt a 41 year old female, please let them know I am available! I would rent this house again. Perhaps for a family get together next time. This house was perfect. We stayed here for a girls weekend get away and could not have asked for a better spot. There was plenty of room indoors and the home was very cozy. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. The home is just minutes from the beach or downtown Santa Barbara and we were able to enjoy both by just a quick cab ride. Our favorite part of the home had to be the outdoor space including a fire place and beautiful view. I would love to stay here again!
