POOL HEATING DETAILS
The pool is heated via solar panels from Mid May to early to Mid October, during the day at no additional cost. Because this is a solar system, there is no heating at night.
When heated, the goal is for the pool temp to be at a minimum of 80F/26C during the day. You can expect warmer temerature during the warmer months in the summer. Please be aware that 80F is warm (not hot), and you will still feel a little chill, especially when the weather is hot outside due to the temperature difference. This a solar system, therefore the temperature may fluctuate, especially at the beginning and end of the season.
Pool heating is NOT available October 16-May 14 as it is too cold and requires too much energy to heat the pool during this time of year. There is a separate hot tub available that is always hot.

Absolutely amazing views from all angles. Wonderful interior aesthetics too and kitchen was well stocked for the times when the family wanted to stay in and cook. Overall wonderful place to catch up with family/friends without distractions.
Only peculiar thing was not being able to connect to the pool system app even after connecting to the wifi. Since swimming was such a large daily part of our R&R, it would have been better if the vrbo managers allowed guests to turn on the pool heating system at our convenience, especially since we were already charged separately for the service; but they do control this one function and only kick it on twice per day, once in the morning and once in afternoon.
My suggestion would be to charge a little more for the heating, but let the guests choose how/when they want to heat it for swimming, or control all of it yourself, but don’t charge extra for it (sets better expectations).
Otherwise, wonderful experience.

My friends and I chose to do a relaxing trip in San Diego for a week but wanted to be outside of the city but not to far either. This location in Ramona was just what we were looking for! The drive from the airport seemed effortless and such a scenic drive. Now let's talk about this house, first of all it was very clean and smelled great! From the moment we walked in we knew we had picked the right place. It had a spacious living room, dining room, and kitchen. Not to mention the view you get through the entire house was absolutely breathtaking. The windows are huge and tall, the ceiling was high and just so much room to move around. The pool is just as you see in the pictures but in my opinion much better in person. Every morning I picked my favorite chair and drank my coffee with the view of the mountain side and valley. The hot tub offers a great view especially at night under the stars and a hint of the city in a distance. The rooms were all very roomy, spacious and very clean. One thing I personally enjoyed about this place is that it wasn't over decorated or over themed. It was very simple and more left an impression for a clear mind and I truly appreciated that. There was plenty of room for our group of seven and we never felt like we were too close to one another. The kitchen is huge equipped with everything you need. The host replied to all my questions quick and respectful. The directions to the home were simple as were all the home instructions.

Overall, this house was all that we expected. Beautiful views that would steal your breath away, remote getaway to relax and to forget all of your everyday stresses and HUGE with windows everywhere. Gorgeous! That said, we were less than impressed with the communications between the property management company and me.
Pool was supposed to be heated to 84degs everyday but after further digging, the heater was only turned on early in the mornings and for only a few hours a day so by the time we wanted to use the pool (mid afternoon), it was already cooled down again and was unusable. Very disappointing since the pool was one of the main features that we wanted to take advantage of. Didn't happen! It would have also been nice to have been informed that the lawn and pool maintenance people were coming to the property. With all of the windows in this exquisite house, it was a shock to see these people in the back yard while getting out of the shower. Suprise! Besides that, we really enjoyed our stay. Jeff and Susan
