About this house rental
This property is in a retro 1970s style. The furniture and decoration is from the 1930s onwards.
All is in perfect working order and if you love reminiscing about the early seventies style you will enjoy it here.
The owner has access to an extension built on under the house. Please find me for any help you may need.
The lawn terrace with the fish pond is for the exclusive use of paying guests.
The pool terrace is shared and children may be present
The space
This house has not been altered since the 1970s and everything in it is retro. Some furniture dates from the 1930s however is kept in very good condition. Please expect a very old-fashioned ambience.
If you are looking for a modern rental my home is not for you.
The swimming pool and the terrace it sits on is a COMMON USE SPACE unless my guests ask for exclusive use in which case they would be left undisturbed for that particular day or part of it.
Full responsibility for the safety of children and adults must be taken by the guests in the pool area and in the grounds of the house.
The pool has a reasonable temperature during the summer months and goes between 17 and a maximum of even 22 degrees.
It is only heated by solar pods and as soon as the weather gets colder or it rains for any length of time the temperature drops dramatically.
By October the pool is pretty chilly.
The house and garden level with lawn and fishpond before it drops down a terrace are for the guests to enjoy exclusively.
There is a sun lounge with an 8-metre window overlooking the sea where guests can sit or dine to benefit from the view.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome and can be safely contained by shutting the two-side access gates.
I would prefer children to be over the age of three however i am flexible on this as long as the children are not destructive to the house and furniture.
No parties are allowed with outside guests invited. Please bear in mind that this property is in a quiet residential area and respect for the neighbours is required.
Children happily playing noisily in the pool is to be expected from time to time however.
Guest access
Please discuss before making a booking.
The first two terraces including the lawn and fishpond to the steps which go down to the pool terrace are exclusive to quests.
We do not enter this space because there is a hidden path to the west of the garden.
The pool terrace is a shared space and the next terrace down the cliff where there is a greenhouse and further vegetable garden terraces is gated and is exclusive to the hosts.
You are always welcome to use the pool anytime however please be aware it is a shared space.
Sometimes noisy children swim there and i am to be found there frequently. In practice quests often have the place to themselves however the only way to have times when you can guarantee being alone in the pool is if you book in advance to be alone for a time.
Front yard and garden is naturally shared.
Other things to note
No more than six guests are allowed at one time.
Please note that sometimes my friend’s children visit and are to be heard and seen swimming in the pool.
If you would like exclusive use of the pool sometimes we would be happy to arrange that
