About this house rental

The Old Post Office is stylishly refurbished with two reception rooms, feature fireplaces and sleeping space for up to eight guests, making it ideal for families and groups of friends. It’s a great base for Alton Towers and Uttoxeter Racecourse visitors. The charming living room has generous seating including a window seat and a double sofa bed, plus throws and cushions and Netflix TV– an ideal space to relax! In the dining room is a table for six, a single chair bed and bookcase and there’s a downstairs WC. One bedroom has a double bed, a single chair bed and an ensuite bathroom with a shower; the second bedroom has two single beds – sleeping space for 8 with the living room double sofa bed room and single chair bed in the dining room. The second bathroom has a freestanding bath and a shower cabinet. In the stylish well-equipped kitchen you’ll find a fridge-freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, oven, microwave, kettle and toaster plus plenty of storage space. Outside is an enclosed garden with seating, ideal for relaxing with a coffee or glass of wine. And just next door is a shop selling great sandwiches for days out at Alton Towers and beyond! The village of Alton is picturesque and peaceful, with its own neo-Gothic castle built by Pugin. You’ll find plenty pubs, restaurants, takeaways and cafés in Alton, Rocester and the pretty villages around. Alton has The Bull’s Head and Bridge House Restaurant, the Tavern in Denstone is 2.1 miles and Rocester offers a wide choice of well-reviewed restaurants (4 miles) Alton Towers Resort, Waterpark and gardens ‒ England’s largest theme park with 40 rides and attractions including Oblivion, Smiler, Nemesis, Forbidden Valley, Dark Forest, the Curse of Alton Manor and CBeebies Land, 3 minutes, 1.4 miles!
