A very smart hotel with spa. We stayed in the old building 1640. Lovely room, big, comfortable, clean. There was a big wedding going on but we were not disturbed. Staff very young but pleasant. Food was good.

Stayed two nights for my son's wedding. The rooms, food and service were all exceptional. All staff who I met were friendly, helpful and efficient.

This was a great find, location was peaceful, quiet and very close to M6. Everything was excellent, staff were friendly and cleanliness was top notch.

Everything was perfect. £40 for the spa at the weekend is a little excessive but the hotel, resturant and staff, amazing!

We had a great stay, staff exceptional, especially the Dinning manager & waiters on the Saturday evening. Very attentive. Great location, lovely rooms. We will be back!

We stayed overnight when attending the Lancashire Tourism Awards. Very clean, welcoming and comfortable. Good breakfast.

Brilliant stay. Lovely big and cosy room. Superb breakfast topped with attentive staff & courteous service. It was very quiet though due to Covid.

On staying at the due to recommendation by me daughter we sat down to have our meal booked for 6.15 pm so first into the restaurant the service was pretty poor to be honest we sat and asked for a jug of water this took a while then after a while the restaurant manager came over to take drink and food order during the meal apart from one lady no one asked are we ok or is every thing ok we did mention to another staff member about service and she said she would mention this to manager and take the bar bill off when we finished I went to bar to add meal to room the guy was a bit Off with me I wouldn’t mind we had mentioned that we was looking at the venue for my daughters wedding plans my wife had asked for some info on this this never came Once we had the meal I went over to reception and asked could we have some info on weddings please the guy behind the desk pushed is mobile away from him and said that it s all online surely he could of taken some details and got the relevant dept to call us back ? So guys if your looking for a nice venue to stay or book a wedding shop around first before opting for this venue £175 well spent !

Seems when you book this property through an agent and not direct your room gets cancelled. Had three rooms booked. One of the lads booked direct, two of us booked through an agent me with Expedia the other chap through another company. On arrival the two of us that booked through an agent didn’t have rooms even though I’d called the hotel direct three days prior to confirm a change in the booking. The chap on the desk did his best to resolve the issue, it did take an hour to sort with him rushing around back and forth to rooms like a scene from fawlty towers involving Manuel which was frustrating at eleven pm. A couple of drinks on the house whilst they got things sorted did ease the pain but though it was the least they could do. One of the rooms was supposed to be a twin bed, we were put into a room with a double bed and a pull out bed, the pull out bed is basically a very thin foamed hard sofa which I found out is not a substitute for a bed at all it was laughable but the only room they had so had to make do. A complaint in the morning about the bed situation fell on deaf ears because we had two free drinks whilst waiting for the rooms to be found and made up. This i thought was very ignorant of the hotel. The breakfast was good with a nice choice options. Unfortunately when in the area again I’ll be finding other accommodation, this wouldn’t of been the case if in the morning they hadn’t shown the ignorance they did.. shame.
