La habitación estaba limpia y era cómoda.Cenamos allí con media pensión y calidad precio muy bien.
El anfitrión es muy majo y se ofrece hacer cosas por si os apetece.
Nosotros contratamos el safari de medio día con ellos y nos costó 62 dolares por persona, no miramos más y confiamos en el precio del anfitrión.
Tengo que decir que el chico del safari con el que fuimos lleva 24 años haciendo safaris y era una maquina de encontrar animales, los vimos todos y la verdad que el madrugón merece la pena.
Respecto a la ubicación como nosotros íbamos a yala hacer el safari, está muy bien.

I cannot recommend Blue Birds enough. It was a delight to stay here. We had struggled a little with our driver/guide to communicate in English and Priya assisted us with this and booked our safari which was fabulous. You are safe hands with Priya, he is happy to help in any way and he answered lots of our questions.
The room was nice, clean & comfortable with a/c. It is slightly tucked off the road which is nice but our driver just rang and we found it easily.
We booked dinner and this is something not to miss. I would say it was the best dinner of our entire holiday. Home cooked by Prius’s wife, she is amazing. Absolutely delicious, and a delightful dessert which we were surprised with, and enjoyed so much. The local curd and honey, almost like greek yoghurt but much nicer! We were bowled over with the food and personal service. We also asked for a lot of ad hoc coffee which was always provided, even at 4.15am before our safari at Yala.

The welcome was exceptional. The staff were so helpful. We arrived late and they arranged food within 40 minutes. Easy book in and good wi-fi. A lovely place to unwind after a jeep safari in Yala - they will arrange the safari for you.
Breakfast was excellent. Sorry we weren’t able to stay for more than just the overnight stop.

Sehr freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Gastgeber. Priya geht in seiner Rolle richtig auf seinen Gästen eine schöne Zeit mit tollen Tierbeobachtungen zu ermöglichen. Er ist mit uns extra noch Krokodile, Vögel und abends Flying Foxes beobachten gefahren.
Wir wurden mit allem versorgt, sogar mit Ferngläsern. Für die Safari wurden wir auch mit leckerem Essen versorgt.
Das Badezimmer ist sehr länglich angelegt. Es ist nicht wirklich klein, fühlte sich dadurch aber eng an. Es war aber alles sauber und in Ordnung.

He organize outings to view crocodiles and bats if you manage to get to the property quite early (around 5).

The owner cannot have control on this so nothing to blame, but there was an extremely loud event next door (singers and dancing) going on until almost 1 am… not ideal when you have to wake up at 4 for a Safari
I ended up sleeping a couple of hours which really ruined the entire following day for me. Again the owner is not responsible for this but is a risk to consider

Good Property. The hosts were fantastic, they took us Bird and Crocodile watching free of charge. They were great. The room was basic but had the necessities. They offered a driver service to Tangalle. Again the owner was brilliant.
Service could be quicker and more organised. We had dinner and the service was quite disorganised. The location was convenient for Yala but not much else around. Additionally, the room lacked additional amenities and was rather basic. Felt like a spare room rather than a homestay/hotel.

De host was erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam zonder opdringerig te zijn. Hij heeft ons meegenomen om krokodillen en vogels te bekijken (gratis). Hij heeft ook de safari voor ons geregeld. De kamer was erg schoon en er was een warme douche. Dankzij hem hebben we een super ervaring gehad. Erg aan te raden!

It worths every dollar
Everything about this place is Perfect. The owner makes your trip x100 more joyable.. he gave us a bird safar the day before.
picked me up from the bus station and dropped me back when i left, waited an hour for the bus with me and made sure im safe.
He gives and dont expect back.
The jeep and tour guid were perfect.. the tour guide spoke english fluintly and stopped at every animal, we saw the difference with ither guides who did not care and obviously we had a privilage with the jeep and excellent guide.
If u want a perfect experience of yala, just go there and u guarantee will!!

The kindness of the hosts, we were taken on a reservoir tour of the birds and bats which was really cool! The safari was really well organised and our stay was comfortable. We were picked up from the bus stop and dropped off at the end of our stay.

Priyankara was the best host ever! He was so helpful with all of our requests (booking safari, picking us up from the bus, etc.). He and his wife were lovely and prepared yummy food for us. Furthermore, he offered us a free bird-watching tour which was super interesting. We really loved everything about the stay and can highly recommend this accomodation!

They are the best hosts you will have in Sri Lanka!! Priyankara is always attentive to your needs and will take care of you as part of his family. He told me how to get from Ella to Tissa by bus, picked me at the station, gave me a bird and bats watching tour in the sunset. The safari organize by him was also amazing!!! The room was clean, comfortable, with mosquito-net and aircon, bathroom very clean. Food (both breakfast and dinner) was delicious! Highly recommended if you go to Tissa!!!

Einer der nettesten und hilfsbereitesten Gastgeber, den wir je irgendwo hatten. Priyankara hat uns mehrfach ohne Aufforderung Früchte, Joghurt mit Kokossirup sowie Tee und Kaffee angeboten. Zudem bot er uns an unserem Abreisetag ein Frühstück, ohne das wir dieses gebucht hatten. Er organisierte für uns zudem verlässlich ein Tuktuk zu unserem nächsten Reiseziel und nahm uns mit auf eine sehr interessante Bird Watching Tour. Würden ihn jederzeit weiterempfehlen!

Such a wondeful place to stay. The host is so helpful and friendly. He helped us arrange a safari with a very good guide and took us around to local attractions like birdwatching and batwatching and made getting to and from Tissa easy. Good food and clean room.

I loved absolutely everything from my stay here. Priyankara and his family took such good care of me and went above and beyond to make me feel at home. Priyankara picked me up from the bus station, took me on an evening tour of the area (which is so beautiful - we saw owls, bats, buffalo’s, lots of bird) and again dropped me off at the bus station. He even woke up at 4am to make me some coffee and coconut cake before I left for my Safari. The food prepared by his wife was delicious and the home is lovely. There is a reason this homestay is rated so high, do yourself a favour and book!

The host really went above and beyond for us. There was no sprite left and so he went out and bought some, he helped us with our phone data, he helped us book the bus, picked us up and dropped us off at the bus stop, he was a perfect host! The room was spacious and clean, and the food was delicious. We did the full day safari and it was amazing!

Safari absolutely incredible. Do yourself a favour, book two nights and a full day safari, you won't regret it. The full day experience was out of this world. No rush, different animals in the morning and afternoon, lovely relaxed breakfast in the jeep and then a relaxed, delicious rice and curry lunch by the river under the shade of ancient forest, followed by a short refreshing nap and an amazing afternoon. Family great hosts. Clean room, hot water, comfortable mattress, tranquil location. Hardworking team, and enjoyed getting to know our lovely hosts. Thoughtful and delicious breakfast the day of leaving. Amazing memories forever.

The breakfast was great with some local food! We also did a Safari in Yala NP with him. This was also very nice for a very fair price. We really recommend this nice place and doing the safari with him ! :-)

Probably the best experience we’ve had staying anywhere!!
Fresh coconut water when we arrived. Then a free guided tour around of the lake and birds in the area in Priyankara’s (owner) tuk tuk.
The room’s were spotless and had plenty of space. The bathroom too, everything felt thoroughly cleaned and well placed. Everything just worked in all ways.
He organised the Yala tour for us at a fantastic rate. He had picked and dropped us up from the bus stop for free in his tuk tuk when we arrived/left Tisa.
Everything was just perfect and so thoughtful. Wish we could have stayed much longer.

We were received with a drink and after the host drove us to the money exchange. The breakfast prepared was amazing too. The dinnner was really complete and after we had a chat with him, something which enriched both parts.
We also made a safari with them (https://yala-bundala-npa-safari-half-dayfull.business.site/?utm_source=gmb&utm_medium=referral) which included some snacks and we also made a birds tour.
He also helped us on the arrangement for the next destination.

Blue Birds Tissa & Yala Safari is a very nice place to stay if you like birds and wildlife and if you are planning a Yala safari trip. The host (Mr. Janaka) also arrange Jeep safari trips inside the Yala National Park and also a special bird safari that was spectacular. We really enjoyed the hospitality during our stay at Blue Birds Tissa & Yala Safari.

Prinyankara is a very friendly host and doing his best to make you feel comfortable. We had a nice welcome with coconut drinks. His wife even prepared some late night food when they heard that we were hungry. We did also Yala safari tour with him and everything was just perfect! I recommend to everyone!

This was an absolutely fantastic stay and I have no idea why all the reviews are not 10/10!! Picked up from the bus station, coconut, mango and wet towel on arrival, large room with AC, everything you needed. A brilliant safari organised at a reasonable price. The owner helped us get around the town and organised our transfer to the airport. Couldn’t recommend enough!

100000/10 - Amazing host - organised a great safari for us, took us on a great evening lake tour where we saw lots of birds/bats/snakes etc for free, also picked us up from the bus station, took us to town and back in his tuktuk as it’s a bit of a walk for dinner and took us to the bus station when we left and waited with us to make sure we got on the right bus!! Excellent customer service. The room was also really clean and modern and the breakfast was lovely and fresh!!!! Amazing value for money and would recommend to anyone to stay here - made our experience so great!

This guesthouse is one of the best we have ever stayed in. The room was lovely and clean, the owner was extremely helpful and kind and we had everything we needed and more!
When we arrived we were picked up free of charge and taken to the guesthouse. On arrival we were given cold towels and coconuts which was very nice as it was a very hot day! In the evening the owner took us bird watching and we went to see the fruit bats which was all completely free, it was a great evening! The next morning we went on safari and we saw so many animals. We were also given a very tasty pack lunch, the whole experience was incredible and we cannot recommend it enough.
Throughout our stay at Blue birds the food was fantastic and we learnt so much about the Sri Lankan cuisine. Thank you so much for your kindness and the great experiences you gave us!

Priyanka was a wonderful host. After arriving from a hot afternoon safari I was greeted with a cold towel and a fresh coconut. The room is large, clean and has a/c. The dinner and breakfast prepared by his wife was delicious. It was great value. Overall a fantastic one night stay. I highly recommended this guest house.

High attention to the guests of the hotel from the owners. The room was very clean. The food for breakfast and dinner was varied and tasty. Evening excursion to the lake with bird watching and flying foxes was very educational. We also really liked the morning safari organized by the owner of the hotel to Yala Park, we were lucky to see several elephants, two leopards, crocodiles, buffaloes, deer, various birds.
