We loved the charming town of Cefalu and the location but facilities are way below par and despite advising our arrival

Location and the fact that we had an apartment which gave us more space.

The shower was very tiny and we could hardly fit in with the doors right open- my husband is tall and it was not possible to even bend over. There were issues with getting the hot water tank working. The washing machine was not functioning correctly and it took hours to get one load of washing done. despite the fact that it was an apartment with cooking facilities there was no plug for the kitchen sink and absolutely nothing to assist with preparation of any sort of meal - i.e. salt and pepper, olive oil; there was no tea or coffee even as a welcome to the apartment. The bed and pillows were extremely hard and very uncomfortable and there was no blanket - only a sheet and thin cover.

Okay appartment in city centre with great view

Loaction of the appartment was super, with view on main central plaza.

heavy leakage during first night (got another room), narrow shower cabin, dishes were dirty in appartment, bathroom was moldy

This apartment Rose with blue walls had balconies and corner view of the square!!

Two coffee pots not correct metal to work on induction cooktop. We had to put them on top of fry pan. Induction cooktop difficult to use. Glass shelf in shower unstable and dangerous if breaks or falls. Needs a smaller metal basket instead of glass.

Exceptional

The check in was very fast. Basically we booked and 10 minutes later we were in the room, without even meeting the host. The location is great, 5 minutes walking to Cefalu beach and all the main attractions in Cefalu. The place is also right on the cathedral square where we had an amazing breakfast in a bar. Also the size of the room was huge, it looked like a small house.

Great location and good value though some basic features and not for those with any mobility issues.

Great location in the centre of Cefalu, good value and comfortable.

The apartment is on 3 levels after going up some narrow stairs. Bedroom and bathroom were clean and comfortable but the sitting area had little space and sloping roof which made it unusable and the kitchen facilities were very limited in particular a stand alone oven which we chose not to use, a microwave would have been more useful. We did have the small apartment which faced onto a small inner courtyard so I can’t comment on the larger properties.

Our apartment had an unbeatable view at the Duomo of Cefalu that gives to it a 10/10 itself. Very central location, just a few steps from the beach. It was fully equipped (incl. an umbrella for the sea) and clean. Beds were comfortable. Check in /out procedure were easy and quick. The host waited for us at the apartment. Overall we had a great stay; however there are few minor issues that should be considered by the host.

Check out is a bit early (10.00am). We left our luggage for few hours at the building, however the place for the luggage storage was unattended, so we had to carry any valuable things with us. Sometimes there was an unpleasant smell in the bedroom coming from the sewage disposal. This issue should be checked. Lack of toiletries (one toilet paper for three days).

Great view and perfect location in a wonderful town

Perfect location overlooking the main square with a view of the Cathedral and the Rock from the wraparound balcony. Very spacious and comfortable, The staff were extra friendly and helpful.

Exceptional

Extremely well-equipped apartment and perfect location. My partner and I were shocked by how big the apartment was and had to offer. The location was exceptional and the host were fabulous. It was our first time visiting Cefalu and the host provided us with many must-see’s and restaurant ideas to kick start our adventure. Highly recommend.

I had seen other comments about the air conditioning not being able to service both levels of the apartment and it getting quite hot during the night - we also had this experience but it was bearable and the positives definitely outweighed this!

This place is very well located, but there are definitely a few things to work on.

Location is great, the place is nice.

It wasn’t super clean, the washing machine had problems (even after they fixed it), the staff wasn’t very present (didn’t know how to proceed at checkout because there was nobody in the lobby), only one toilet paper roll for 2 nights.

Very nice location in a very beautiful town

The apartment is situated just a few meters from main square and Cefalu cathedral. It is looking nice

We arrived to Cefalu by taxi we had a lot of baggages (and a 4-year child). The host didn't inform us that the location was inside a restricted-traffic area. So the taxi had to leave us about 1 km from the place... After getting in, we almost didn't get any information from the host about the city and what to do there... The rooms were nice but in reality not well kept. On the balcony there was a nice table with two chairs but one of the chair was partially broken and the table was unstable. The shower in the bathroom was quite basic

ac did not work, the way the room set up was it did nothing to cool the upstairs bedroom, which was a bit annoying given how hot the days were. wasn’t quiet either.

amazing location, lovely and very friendly staff, spacious accommodation in the heart of old town and close to the beach

air conditioning would turn off during the night so it got quite hot. bed is not the most comfortable but overall it is good value accommodation

Exceptional hosting. Everything about the accommodation and location was as we wished. And to top it off, when Federica found out it was our birthday, a fabulous bottle of Prossecco was left for us in the room

Great place also to stay a bit longer

The hotel is very close the main square of Cefalu. It is approx. 15 min walk from the train station. The room was huge and had everything we could have asked for. Staff was super friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our time in Cefalu and at the beach. We also used the washing machine and really liked having this opportunity in the room.

The staff mixed up the keys and we remained with the bunch of keys where the key from the entrance to the building was missing. So there was a real chance to spend a night outside as it was quite late already when we came back home. We were lucky as the staff from the other B&B came and opened the door. The girl working on the reception was not responsible and clear in her explanations enough which deluted our impression of the trip. The place itself was awesome though

very good location. very nice apartment. We have a funny story. One day before we arrived Cefalù, Booking.com sent me an Email told me that the apartment I booked is not available and need change to Rosa apartment. But actually is same host, just change a room named Rosa in Madonie Holidays. There is really another apartment named Apartmento Rosa on Booking.com. So we went there and of course no our booking of Apartmento Rosa. But luckily we met a nice guy who helped us hat a call with Madonie holidays and confirmed the apartment is still available. He saw us with the luggages and helped drive us to the Madonie. Next day we went to his restaurant and had a perfect dinner. His restaurant name is Da Sasa Ristorante Pizzeria. because of his help our trip was very nice. it changed bad thing to good. Italian people are really very friendly. Thank you.
