Very nice hotel located on the top of a hill above El Calafate. We had our own car but the hotel offers shuttle service in the afternoon and evening into "downtown". Staff was very nice and helpful. They even let us change our rooms to a more silent part of the hotel when we did not have a good night sleep in the first rooms. Hotel has a nice and large lap pool, pretty warm and another smaller pool as well as a nice gym area with a view. Breakfast choice was plenty, buffet style.
Over all one could notice that is main tourist season and that the staff cannot pay as much attention as maybe needed. (i.e. maintenance of the pool area) But we experienced the hotel as one of the best in Patagonia in this category and price range.

location overlooking the town and the lake is fabulous. and breakfast was good
rooms were hot and noisy. there was a noise coming from the bathroom all the time - water and air suction. we complained but it happened all night anyway. we had 3 rooms and none of us slept well. expensive hotel and I would never stay there again

The views and indoor pools are nice. One person of the staff called Rashid was helpfull different from the rest.
Hotel lacks maintenence
Stained Carpets
Broken mini bar
Broken Sauna
Breakfast buffet where pastries were old
The worse part was the guy at the reception called Calen who was rude and negleted to give us information about Christmas Eve Dinner and other questions we had about the town.

the view
everything else. it’s a hotel for the masses, crowded and expensive. Avoid it unless your kids desperately need a pool

Beds are super comfy, good facilities, lovely pool and great view.
Staff are running around like headless chickens so everything takes longer than it should. Dinner was disappointing.

Hotel has a great view over the lake and mountains. Efficient and reliable shuttle to town center. Spa has 2 heated pools with Mountain View’s. Good massages but limited hours.
Missed opportunity with the pools and the windows. Different configuration for the window frames would have given much better views while in the water. Desk staff are fully bilingual English/Spanish, but restaurant and bar staff did not speak English and were not great at adapting to communicate. Service wasn’t bad, but far less English capability than in restaurants in town or hotels in other cities in Patagonia.

This doesn’t look quite so promising from the road, more like a barracks but this is a lovely hotel, with fantastic panoramic views over the lake and river mouth especially at night. The rooms are lovely, spacious, well equipped and comfortable, with a quite decent if not quirky add on spa facility and good length pool. The restaurant was very good and packed lunches are available , all at very reasonable prices for the area. It is out on the hill at the top end of town so very convenient for the airport but not easy to pop into town unless you use their shuttle service but well worth staying at for the location and quality of the whole hotel. Would stay again anytime.
