It was a little expensive

Great service and location
Outdated bathroom

Very clean and appreciated the warmth in the room that cold day!!
The shower was a bit to small and it had a broken wall hanger for the shower head
3.5
location, style of the hotel
No hot water in the morning for shower - very cold. Also, our rooms were right next to a storage room and no attempt was made to be quiet in the early morning.

Location at foothill with on site parking. Property had a resort kind of layout with lots of space, garden, outdoor dining in warmer climate. There was even a swimming pool. We were given a little stand alone stone cottage by the sea. The views, atmosphere, howling wind and pounding sea added to make this stay EXCEPTIONAL. The service staff was kind enough to provide a kettle when requested. The breakfast spread was simple but lovingly prepared by the service staff.
5 star recommendation from me
Wifi was weak and spotty due to expanse layout of property. I had my own wifi router so was not an issue

This is an exquitlly beautiful hotel.

Only the location and garden are ok
Medieval amenities, medieval furniture, medieval bathroom
4.5
We were 100% satisfied as we enjoyed our stay at Lazareto. The main purpose was to visit Monemvasia and the castle but the hotel was top class! Comfortable room with nice decor, easy parking, lovely outside areas with a unique small pool under the rock of Monemvasia. Cuisine was excellent, we had breakfast and light lunch both days. As my 8yo son said they should be a given Michellin star! Everything was lovely.
If it's windy the outside dining area is uncomfortable after a while and people can't enjoy as much as they should be enjoying the lovely cuisine
2.5
the place is nice and a great garden and close to the entrance of Monemvasia
the welcome by the guest
the room was very basic
equipment of the room very limited and not very up to date ( old )
bed not very comfortable
breakfast very basic as well
4.0
I liked the outside areas, the gardens, the bar, the breakfast area, the view.
I suggest you to stay to this hotel when you go to Monemvasia because is outside the castle and you avoid the problem of the parking.
The air condition system in the rooms is very old and noisy.

old and rusic rooms, good breakfast, very nice areal, helpful staff, no beach but direct access to the sea.
5.0
Quaint and charming. One of a kind hotel with a fantastic view. Staff is great and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay there albeit it was only for one night.
Nothing really though possibly they can fix some of the doors and windows up as they feel like they are on their last legs.
2.5
location, room size
room was on the ground floor right next to the car park
bathroom drainage did smell bad while the shower head was blocked and water was splashing all over the place
breakfast was poor
4.5
If you plan on staying in Monemvasia, this is the best hotel you can choose.
The location is perfect, a few minutes walk from the ancient village yet reachable by car. Breathtaking views on all sides. Breakfast was tasty and generous. Loved the strong water pressure in the shower.
.
Only downside was the wifi in our room - weak and sketchy, but we managed.

Excellent location and setting and very helpful friendly staff especially Tina.
3.0
Spacious room overlooking the beach, good breakfast, good location & helpful staff!
Bathroom was small, needs renovating and had mold in the shower. The room had a weird smell overall.
4.5
The location , the very comfortable room for three individual persons. The service and the hospitality of the staff.
3.5
Excelent location
An old grumpy impolite lady was omnipresent in the hotel, sharing her bad mood.
4.0
Location and parking at the hotel (next to the room) instead of on the access road of Monemvasia and hauling the luggage up the road and into the kastro.
First greeting is by someone completely illiterate in English, so much that even a goodmorning or goodnight seem to frustrate herself. Other staff need to be called in, all extremely helpful nevertheless.

Excellent location, very friendly & helpful staff & beautiful rooms

Breakfast was very poor , pastries stale , we didn’t bother on second day. Even though there was a pool it was out of service
Breakfast, pool useable

The rooms need complete renovation
The position of the hotel
4.0
The location was great - already in Monemvasia (i.e. on "The Rock"), but still where you can get to by car (possibly, though I am not 100% sure now, this was in fact the last hotel on the way to Monemvasia's main town gate to which you can still drive comfortably and park your car - the hotel parking was very convenient). The hotel comprises several stone buildings with some unquestionable rustic charm. :) Our room was the second floor of a small stone tower, which we found quite interesting and unusual, and liked it very much.
The hotel felt a bit dated, it could definitely use some renovation. While the bed and sheets, as well as the toilet, were very clean, the overall standard of cleanliness of the room was good but not top-notch. The bed was not too comfortable. Breakfast selection was good, but not great. The WiFi connection was not too good.
