The room was clean. Great location
There's no electic kettle to boil water. The pillow is too soft same as the bed.

Front desk staff was excellent. Welcoming, professional.
Noisy neighbours till 4:30 am. Low quality soundproofing in my room.
The facility which previously was a first rate hotel, is looking just a little run down lately. Scuff marks on mouldings, outdated plumbing. Best days are behind this hotel unless a major reno is in the works.

check-in was OK. Gentleman at 0430 check-out was very pleasant, and a real asset considering the rest of the hotel was very poor.
Priced almost the same as Oak Bay Beach - and about half the hotel. Bar awful, hockey teams made huge noise, rooms antiquated, TV useless, heating and cooling unmanageable.

The view from our room was stunning. Housekeeping was excellent with cleaning, towels, soaps and coffee supplies. The bed was very comfortable. Appreciated the extra pillows and blanket.
Front desk should have told us we were going to be charged a daily rate for parking. The carpet in our room was shabby, well worn, glad we brought slippers. Our room had a connector door to the next room so we could hear every word being spoken and it felt intrusive. The pool and hot tub area wasn't properly maintained. Hot tub jets were out of order. Used, wet towels were discarded on the floor. The one unisex change room/washroom isn't sufficient as I couldn't lock it while changing into my swimsuit. Children were splashing in the pool and occupying the hot tub after 10:00 pm.

We stayed in the west buiding. Very clean rooms, nice fireplace, comfy clean bed, nice views, nice patio.
Rooms could use just a few more things to make it better. A taller table to sit at (although they do have a bar behind the bed), a better lock on the bathroom door, hooks to hang things, the shower is nice but more space to put bottles etc on would be nice, the bathroom isn't soundproof at all lol. West building is newer and cleaner than Lakeview rooms, but you have to walk outside to get to main building so just be aware.

Location.
Having to sign waiver that if someone complained about our dog we would have to pay for their hotel room. Never have come across this anywhere in all our travels. Plus hotel could simply “double dip” - how would anyone know? This should be in booking policy info prior to booking. “Dog floor” corridor smelled of dog urine. Also we were located over looking not only the parking lot but over the hotel entrance canopy which contained various ducting materials and was noisy. Balcony was literally one where we could have climbed over and walked on the roof! All this for some $275.00 plus.

Breakfast was good but expensive!
The beds were very uncomfortable

Location, parking, staff,
Room was good BUT due to a noisy air conditioner very poor sleep. It was ridiculous how anyone is expected to sleep with the air conditioner working. So you switch it off and then cant sleep due to the hear.
Hotel pricing was way too much for what was offered. The price of breakfast was ridiculous and should be included in the expensive room ocist

Ours room was facing the lake which was really nice, The cleaning staff was very nice and provided us with missing items. The coffee machine wasn't the greatest. Last year we stayed in the new building which was newer and nicer had lounging chairs on the balcony and microwave which was helpful. I thought the $15.00 a day resort credit was very nice touch which we took advantage of. Thank you for the lovely stay, we will be back!
The coffee machine was not really working that well, we didn't say anything to the front desk, everything else was good

Very nice location
Room we had was very basic, hotel and rooms need updating badly, I expected much more nice a place for the cost, could have stayed at a motel for near half the price and got the same type of room..
