Staff were very friendly but room was not clean and had an odor. Bathroom drains stopped up a few times. I don't believe the money I paid for was worth it.
Cleanliness of rooms and smell and pool was too cloudy.

The breakfast was adequate.
General conditions of the property were poor. It is in need of a major remodel, or upgrade to meet the standards of the brand.
Our rooms had real problems: paint, caulking in the bathroom.
The carpet in the halls and elevator area were very dirty and in poor condition.
General areas were not great either.
The security was NOT ADEQUATE. The back door to to the back parking lot was never locked as far as I could tell. If it was it was well past 10:00 pm. This a heavy traffic area on the access of Interstate and an intersection of two major busy roads. The parking lots are adjacent and directly accessible to major restaurants. Convenient but NOT SECURE AT ALL.

We did not have breakfast there at the hotel.

Good, hot and fresh on time

Breakfast was poor—no juice, biscuits but no gravy, sausages but no eggs, cereal but no milk. Room was dingy.

The ac was in a bad position so only one side of the bed that was up against it go cool.. the rest of the room was hot!

The only thing I liked was the location…but with 2 other hotels at the same location, there are definitely better options
everything! First of all, the lady who checked us in didn’t know how to use a credit card. Secondly, the smell throughout the hotel was awful. It was a combination of stale smoke, smelly feet and a stopped up toilet. Third, when you get off of the elevator onto your floor, there is no a/c…mind you…this is Texas…it was sweltering…and the smell was even more intensified…it was awful! walking into the room, at first I thought…okay…this will be fine…nope…the bathroom looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in YEARS…and I mean YEARS! the tub was rusty and disgusting…I wouldn’t bathe my dog in that tub…I honestly was nervous about sleeping on those sheets…so I go to put the tv on…doesn’t work…it kept saying”no signal”….so I called the front desk and was told it had been broken all day and the cable company couldn’t come til tomorrow…don’t you think they would have mentioned that when checking in? the charging stations didn’t work either for our devices..I have stayed at Comfort Suites many times…always with good experiences…this place needs to be shut down immediately…I wouldn’t be surprised if they rent rooms by the hour…it’s that bad! there are 2 other hotels located within feet of this hotel…do yourself a favor and stay at one of those…I’ve never written a bad review before…like EVER…but this was so awful…I would hate for anyone else to stay there without being informed

The first time was an amazing stay
The staff was very disorganized, and the room was dirty and the water was cold to take a shower The room smelled really bad. I got charged when I arrived and then the morning when I was leaving they said you haven't paid your card was blocked why now

Location to Texas State
Terrible smell in hallways & room, Elevator was tiny & creaky, Shower/ tub had rusty all around edges, bathroom doesn’t have vent to get steam out of bathroom so room stayed damp, breakfast was limited, reception desk unfriendly.
3.3
Staff was nice, bed was comfortable & plenty of hot water for showers
The carpet in our room was Disgusting! Had to wear shoes at all times because the carpet was so dirty your feet would stick to it. There was a horrible sewage-like odor in the hallway of both 2nd & 3rd floors. The spout in bathtub was barely hanging on to the wall
3.3
This was a horrible experience! I booked for 3 nights and got “kicked” out because they said I only booked 1 night. they packed up my stuff and did not include a hearing aid charger.
3.3
The staff was great. Very nice front desk person and quick and easy check in process.
the air-conditioning did not work. we had a ceiling fan in our room that also did not work. there were dead bugs in the closet and the shower did not drain.
3.3
location
Got there no water due to a pipe burst. Staff said it would be on in a hour to hour 1/2. I called at 8pm still no water. When I called the front desk at 10pm no one would answer the phone. I feel that I deserve half of my money back if not all of it. The staff could have provided updates and called me in advance to getting there.
3.3
The room had a funny smell and the shower curtain was too short. We had a huge puddle in the floor.
3.3
Room and hotel was very clean and comfortable. I only grabbed a few things to go for breakfast, but very convenient. Would definitely stay again if in area.
Construction in parking lot was a mess. Not sure of plans but not causing alot of problems parking.
3.3
the check out day
The room was missing a lamp on the wall, asked front desk to bring a lamp he said no plugs but an alarm clock was plugged in, curtains, vents dirty asked housekeeping to come they said it was too late at 11 am and it was an extra charge… the staff was so just “ready to clock out” I will never stay at this company again! I ended up cleaning my own room they did provide trash bags and brooms for me pictures will be uploaded at 112$ a night i expected a little more

The property itself was just fine. the location at the moment really kinda sucked but that’s because there’s construction going on on the highway directly next to it. Post construction, I’m sure location would be great.
There’s a Chillis right behind/next to it that you could walk to for dinner so that’s pretty convenient.
First let me say, this is a budget hotel. Don’t expect to walk into The Bellagio bc that’s not what you’re paying for. Now, having said that, the hotel was fine but they could improve.
The employees were absolutely kind and super sweet and accommodating. Huge shout out to the young man that was at the front desk this past weekend. He was always nice and polite and helpful. Didn’t catch his name- sorry!
The cons:
The building had a weird smell- it was almost like they had just sprayed air freshener over the smell of bad sewage. I only noticed it when I got off the elevator on my floor- not in the lobby at all and I also never went anywhere but the lobby and my floor (third floor) so not sure if it’s all floors or just mine.
I found a glove in my bed. That kinda grossed me out but I didn’t complain bc I figured it may have been accidentally left there by housekeeping when making the bed? At least I hope that’s what that was.
The bed was fine but don’t expect elite luxury. It was comfy but probably not as comfy as home.
There were only 3 pillows on a Queen bed- it was fine for me but if I had been traveling with my husband, we’d have needed another one.
When I was packing to leave on last day, I found a men’s sock on the floor under the desk. I didn’t travel with men so that was concerning but didn’t complain bc I chalked it up to maybe the black sock blended in with the carpet and housekeeping didn’t see it? But again, not sure that’s what happened.
The room was FREEZING! I turned the heater on but it didn’t seem to ever change the temperature in the room.
overall, we felt safe, comfortable and it fit our budget.
Just maybe need to pay more attention when cleaning.
