The room was comfortable enough and breakfast was adequate
When I arrived I was asked for a $250 cash deposit on the room, which I refused to give. I have never had to pay a cash deposit to any hotel I've ever stayed in and I travel frequently. Usually they ask for a credit card to hold an amount. I don't agree with being asked to hand over cash. Considering I was only paying $89 for the night's accommodation I was completely taken aback by the request. I pointed out I had just come from a 4 star hotel in Saskatoon where I was not asked to pay any deposit and frankly this hotel was barely 2 star. The hotel advertised a bar on site and there wasn't one. I was given a key to my room and upon arrival I discovered the room was in complete disarray. Mattresses up against the wall, bed frames in pieces. I had to go back downstairs and inform the office. The staff were completely unperturbed by it and offered no explanation. I was given another room, but again, not good enough! They did not have adequate parking available either and there were a lot of unsavoury types hanging around outside the area. We did not sleep well as we were worried that our car may be broken into.

Bed is good,
nobody was found in breakfasfas room, At least someone is required to move every half an hour to see if everything is okay....Pan cake machine working well or not, mink container empty or not....people feel conformable or not...

Breakfast was ok.
We booked there with our kids because of the pool and get to the facility only to find out it hasn't worked in a long time. Complete disappointment. Wanted our money back but everywhere else was full due to the wildfire evacuees. We shouldn't have to pay a full price if all the amenities aren't provided or they could at least warn travellers before they confirm a booking. Also there were a few dead birds right outside our window so that was not nice to see.

Nothing
Everything. Old, dirty, hotel. Drunk people howling in the middle of the night. People standing by the entrance with minor's in their care smoking dope. Hallways and entrance wreaked of dope and ciggarete smoke. I was on the 4th floor. Pool is advertised on line but is closed down since COVID. It's was a gross hotel. I felt unsafe with the drunken company surroundings. Eww. Now I know. Receptionist on a night shift had poor customer service. Lacked friendliness. Whole experience was a -10.
