We enjoyed this charming and authentic heritage home, and the lengths our host went to to assure our comfort.
Located close to downtown.

The host, Mike, was exceptionally friendly! the home is an old English house and the decor is absolutely lovely. It felt like taking a step into history which was brilliant! Mike made sure we were comfortable and everything was to our liking

A very charming house. The host obviously likes to welcome people there, and is friendly. A nice place to stay for one or two nights. Satisfying breakfast.
There is no place where to store food, like a fridge. That's too bad, we have to keep food or to eat outside. Not something fresh.

Unique property with so many personal touches from the owner
Breakfast was limited.

The place is a really old building. Very cute but it makes the stay not that comfortable. All the floors make sounds very loud. You can hear literally everything was happening in the dorm next to yours. Breakfast is coffee, orange juice and pancakes. I didn't like it but my boyfriend did. So it's a taste thing. The owner is really nice and like to talk a lot. Really funny guy.
Really not quiet place and the bed was small and not comfortable. And we're really not a tall couple. We didn't found more places to stay. But I don't think i will stay again.

Central location, rooms are small but the beds are clean, warm and comfortable. Very friendly and helpful host who is keen to help you out. Nice simple breakfast. Interesting and different accommodation, old fashioned, interesting, warm and inviting.
Accommodation was great but the location is a bit depressed. I would only stay there as a stop-over on a road trip.

Super quiet neighbourhood, super quiet house. Good location, everything is in walking distance (waterfront, restaurants, grocery). Good breakfast, nice interior, squeaky clean. Good wifi, I did some remote working, meetings included. Good communication with the host, before and during our stay. If back in the area, I’ll book the same place.

For the warmth of welcome, helpful tips on local restaurants (or restaurant: Pizza Delight), and tastiness of the breakfast I’d give 10/10: Mike is a great character, his mother an absolute star and Sarah, who prepared the breakfasts, was friendly efficiency personified.
Basically the room: a “Superior double” of 13m2 with a seating area. Except it really wasn’t - and it smelt of old chip fat. Maybe 9m2; and a single stick back chair in the only unoccupied corner of a room isn’t a ‘seating area’. There is a communal sitting room.
More concerning was that the single fire extinguisher on the top floor appeared to be several years out of date: see the photo and decide for yourself, but the punched card codes seem clear to me. Exit was via a narrow staircase at the bottom of which the door opens inwards and jams at 2/3 open.
The rooms are cheap, but at what cost?

The room was comfortable if on the small side. Everything was very clean. The decor was a bit eccentric but matched the style of the house. Nice breakfast with homemade pancakes and jams. The staff was super friendly and helpful.
The room was a bit small but this was not a major problem.

Very friendly hosts. It was a pleasure to have a conversation with the 96 year old Grand Dame of the house. A lovely, creaky old house with a very comfortable bed.
Somewhat overpriced but during these Covid times it must be difficult due to the lack of tourists.
Breakfast was very basic although satisfying overall.
Difficult to find decent, reasonably food in Campbelton due to Covid.

The staff and the breakfast were incredible. The house itself is admirable, it's antique and holds so much history. Mike was so welcoming.

The house is very well maintained.
Breakfast was not provided. The owner did not leave coffee, milk, or bread for the toaster as he indicated he would. I telephoned him to ask where I might find these and he declined the telephone call.

Historic house in a central location. Friendly hosts who were interesting to talk to.
