That it was across the street from an Ottawa police station lol but because of how close it was to my work site.
That the pool and hot tub were not available

Hotel was really clean. Beds were comfortable and the room was very spacious. Also the front desk clerk was kind and friendly.
3.1
The bed was comfortable
The bathroom floors were not very clean. The ice machine was broken. The mini frige made a funny sound all night. I called the front desk 3 times before someone answered. I wanted information on a late checkout. The lady informed me she could not help me and i would have to call back in the morning which defeated the purpose. Lastly we came down around 10:40 wanted to grab something to eat and the lady in the dinning area closed the door.

We chose the Disability Accessible King Room (#207), and i must say, we were pleasantly surprised. The room was large and well appointed. There were plenty of electrical outlets and the lighting was good. Staff was helpful and courteous, even though they were quite busy with the Canada Day rush. The roll-in shower had a bench, and an adjustable shower head. We did not use the vending machines, but they appeared to be well stocked. We would definitely stay here again, for the right price.
If I had to be picky, i would mention the lack of counter space in the bathroom. There was a small side table, but it was not really big enough to lay out our toiletries. My partner felt that the bed wasn't terribly comfortable, but i thought it was "okay" for one night. There was no soundproofing, so we could hear people in the hallways, but they did request that folks try to be quiet after 11pm. Their visitor website stated that there was an ice machine on the first and third floors, but there wasn't one on the first, so i ended up going to the third, where it was, conveniently, beside the elevator. A bit of a hassle for a person with mobility issues, but again, it's only me being "picky". The breakfast room was a little cramped, but they had hot and cold food choices, so that was a pleasant surprise. The decor is a bit dated, but overall, it was a pleasant experience for us.

The rooms were newly renovated and spacious.
They did not have their pool open and that was not advertised. My child was very upset as this was the reason we picked this hotel.
3.1
It was horrendous. I have stayed at SO MANY hotels and this was just ridiculous
Everything. The bugs, the mould, the no toilet paper holders in every room, and the old lights. “Newly renovated” the only renovated rooms are on the 4th floor, which they only put people in when they complain about the room they originally got, due to cleanliness. We were there for one night and 3 people including us had to switch rooms. And even the 4th floor rooms have silver fish bugs!!! The front desk customer service was horrible. I contacted the hotel management two days ago and have heard nothing back. I will add photos of everything below

Honestly, nothing.
For 50 dollars more, I could have stayed at the Holiday Inn down the street which is by far cleaner, more professional and updated. Staff here was incompetent when asked if a designated smoking area, told there wasn’t. Walked out the door and saw ash towers to the side. Also, told no side door to use for smoking outside, and there is. Paint chipped everywhere, slow elevator, little amenities. Very disappointing. Also had to pay $50 extra to stay an extra hour after check out time when the Holiday Inn let us stay 3 extra hours free of charge.

We didn’t have breakfast there but we had a take away breakfast which was excellent.
The bathroom was old and dirty. The rest of the room was fine
3.1
Breakfast was ok. Wished it had more varieties of fruit instead of just apples. I would have liked the choice of bacon and or sausages with my eggs for breakfast too. But I have to say the waffles were very tasty. The room was simple but comfortable.
The toilet paper holder in the bathroom was broken and needed to be fixed. I was very disappointed and did not like that the pool was out of service because we were looking forward to spending a bit of time swimming.
3.1
The location and the free parking
The night clerk was rude with zero social skills.
My total sum was just shyle above 500 c$ that which I've paid with my debit, but my credit card was maxed out so the security deposit was not passing and the night clerk refused to give me access to the room without it.
Now you need to understand that we are on a family road trip and we got to the hotel at around 11pm standing at the lobby and arguing about a 200c$ for a security deposit it's unlogic and it doesn't make any sense I was in different hotels where the security deposit was not even a question.
Also when we got to the room we had no window to open and the air conditioning was really load.
In the washroom the toilet was moving, the bathtub was clogged and I'm not too sure what was in the draining but it was disgusting!
That really ruined everything for us.

Easy to locate and short drive to shopping
Pool not available

Clean bright room, comfortable beds!
The pool wasn’t open. Huge disappointment when travelling with children

Pool not up and running. Bummer!!
3.1
breakfast, room, bed

It's old and looking run down AND there was mold in the tub! The pool is always closed.
3.1
Breakfast was ok. Eggs? Nope
Why haven’t you fill up the requirements to open the pool? Not been able to access it was a great deterrent.
Pool not accessible. Seriously, after more than a year ?
3.1
Bathroom, bed
Staff on standby, bit quirky. No kettle in room, no teabags or milk. Dining room quite tired. Decor generally tired. Swimming pool not working, although was aware of that from previously. All looking quite tired
3.1
It was conveniently located, the breakfast was good.
Lack of available parking due to a large number of workers taking up double spots. Also, the front office staff was not the friendliest.
The shower head was absolute crap. There was no safety bar, and the tub was slippery to get in and out.
The elevator was making weird noises, and we were a bit concerned.
3.1
The staff, room cleanliness
There was guest in the room above us with children that jumped and ran until late (11pm) .
3.1
we are expecting that the pool is open but it was closed my kids are upset one of the reason that's why we book in the hotel. Towels didn't wash properly still have hair on it.

Breakfast
Elevator broke
One worker at the desk was rude
3.1
loacation easy to find, plenty of parking, good breakfast, friendly staff.
Room 211, Chair very uncomfortable to seat on (need new padding), noisy heating system, room is facing highway (noisy at night). room could use more furniture (an extra chair wouldn't hurt).
3.1
It was right off the highway and easy to find
I booked this hotel especially for the pool and hot tub, which was closed for maintenance, but that was not stated on the website. In addition, they almost did not let me check jn, claiming that they needed a $200 security deposit, which could only be placed on a credit card. I gave them my visa debit, and the clerk argued with me that they could not place the deposit on my debit card. I insisted he try it, as I had just driven 8 hours to get there. The security deposit was placed on my visa debit with no issues. No housekeeping was done in the 2 days we stayed. Overall, I'm not happy with this hotel
3.1
The room smelt like rubber upon arrival, which was aired out fairly quickly. Bed broke within minutes of sitting down, was able to find the problem and fix it, however if it was an elderly person it happened too, it could’ve resulted in an injury. Keurig machine was filthy and we had to clean it before use. Pool facilities were closed until further notice but nowhere on their website does it say that, we booked this hotel specifically for the pool.
3.1
The refresh was nice. Good location. Quiet room (mostly--screaming kids in the hall). Extra deep room.
There was no mat or anything by the door, and it's winter....the floor was constantly wet. We had to use a bath towel as a mat. The took out the rod in the closet and put a few hooks. No where to hang a garment bag or fancy clothes. The fridge froze our food. Breakfast was really basic.
The room was slightly deeper than most rooms (stayed here before), but they didn't fill the extra space with a chair or table or anything useful.
3.1
Breakfast is very poor!
Breakfast, price, elevator.
3.1
Nothing
Wasn't told the pool was closed when booked. Beds, and linens are brutal. Typical rooms. Breakfast blah, juices watered down, cereal stale. Rooms way over priced considering, should be half the price based on the state of the hotel.
3.1
Breakfast was provided, although hoarded/picked over prior to our arrival to the dining room. It looked good.
The pool was closed upon arrival, which was the whole reason we booked this hotel as it was out of the way. I understand they were doing maintenance, but there was no heads up at all, or I would have booked elsewhere. There was a loud water sound in our room the entire night. We couldn't sleep. The staff at the front worked extremely long hours as he was the only one we saw the entire stay. He probably needs some customer service training or a day off. I'll give him the benefit of a doubt, although I am sure he is overworked.
