The staff were extremely friendly. They really improved the quality of the visit in a major way.

It's a two-star hotel... There are no private washrooms or showers (at least in the room I booked).

The location was superb, with the trails around the island, wildlife, the set up for picnics, truly beautiful! The views of the river, the apple orchards, the friendly staff, all combined to make a great stay!

I found the unisex bathrooms and showers a little unnerving, however, it is something we got used to after the initial try.

Family-friendly place on the island, stylish and clean, welcome presents upon arrival. Thank you for the late check-in possibility and the check-out time is also perfect.

All good, but keep in mind that bathroom facilities are shared and don't forget to bring bath accessories.

Check in was unacceptably slow and incompetent. It took an hour and 15 minutes and I was the only one checking in. I reserved a room around 8:30 pm on Friday evening, got an email confirmation right away, then called the hotel to let them know my flight would arrive around 1 am, and the woman said no problem. I got to the hotel around 2am. The desk clerk couldn't find my reservation. He looked through stacks of papers and in drawers and poked at the computer for a while, had to make 2 calls and talked to someone about my reservation for over 30 minutes, still looking at the computer. Even when I showed him my confirmation he wasn't able to check me in. He looked again through the stacks of papers and couldn't find my reservation. I asked him why was it so complicated and asked if he could just give me a room and find me later but he couldn't. I was very sleepy and couldn't get in my room until about 3:30 a.m. because of somebody's incompetence at this hotel that was practically empty. When I got to the room and turned on the sink the water came out brown. I should get a refund for this place.

Beautiful property and they had a room for our bicycles.

was double billed for the room and though it was eventually straightened out, it took a lot of time. We traveled by bike and were yelled at by an employee when leaving with our luggage strapped to our bikes. Note cars can drive onto the property with passengers and luggage.

In a beautiful setting

Hard to find especially as there were road works on the route from Chateauguay so we were late arriving. There was no food as we arrived half an hour after the dining room closed at 7 pm. Then the breakfast we were looking forward to was a “boxed” breakfast, pretty bad and there was no hot water or coffee available. We certainly would not recommend the place although the surroundings were quite lovely.
