We’ve been coming here at least a couple times a year for over 10 years. We’ve always liked the location/proximity to Incline and Sand Harbor.
We came here to be with family and support one another through the very recent loss of our father. Air conditioning unit hummed so loud that we couldn’t sleep, mattresses were not very comfortable, bathroom in unit 218 was incredibly small (no sink, vanity) in bathroom. Had to use kitchen sink. Btw: kitchen was a makeshift kitchenette that was useless.
Toilet in room 213, that our kids slept in, ran all night.
Additionally, the balconies were being worked on so our sliders were covered in plastic, paint smell was so strong it gave us headaches and my brother in law was sprayed by a pressure washer while he was on his balcony because we had no idea we couldn’t enjoy the outdoor space due to renovations. My husband and I were told that we needed to go inside because they were about to start work on ours.
When we contacted the front desk we were told our unit (218) didn’t have an air conditioning unit even though maintenance shared with us that the resort has had complaints about the unit and the owners are very aware as well and the front desk staff was rude and dismissive!
The resort itself is shrinking in amenities, including shops and restaurants and charging additional fees to access to the pool/gym is ridiculous.
We expect a call from the resort and compensation for these inadequate experiences or we will be sharing our experience within our occupations which are broad reaching and we will NEVER stay here again!

Comfortable, well maintained and quiet
Not the location as advertised , the picture shows Northstar village. This is not in the village

The room was clean and quiet. There was a balcony with a table and chairs to relax on. The was not much human interaction you checking at a sales office at the beginning of the road. All directions are emailed to you and entry codes are emailed to you.
The room was a bit on the smaller. There was a list of things to do before checking out, such as strip your beds of all linen and pile it on your bed. Place all towels in the tub or shower and remove all trash and recyclable items and place in trash bins outside. I do tidy up my hotel rooms before leaving but it never had at to do before.

Nice to have a kitchen and the fireplace.
The condo was too removed from everything. Next time we will stay in the new section near everything.

Closed to ski gondola, you can’t walk though, either take the free shuttle or drive and park. The house is spacious and quiet.
The heater is noisy when active.

Great location, snowboarding was great, my facility was basic. Super noisy upstairs constant pounding from upstairs.
It felt like there was a dance class on the floor upstairs. Heater situation was poor, TV selection was poor, lighting was poor

The staff was great! However; our room was dirty and definitely not what we were promised and what we paid for. very disappointed.
You need to do better and make it up to our family.

Location is awesome, very close to lake Tahoe and other places of interest, like Truckee and Reno and it's very relaxing
Parking very difficult for seniors with mobility issues,
I told staff it was our first time as guests, trying to find out where things were how things work that kind of things no help to us.
We figured it out for ourselves

Location
Too expensive for being old. We did not stay in the main resort, there were only 2 restaurants open and in one you had to make reservations. The pizza place packed and waiting 1 hr for pizza.

Views from the living room windows were spectacular. Surprisingly it was less than a 5 min walk to the village.
The price was good, but still on the pricey side.

IT IS BUG INFESTED! AVOID**
Soon as you walk in you're greeted with bugs crawling all over the floor and furniture.
Bed had bugs crawling - YES
BUGS ON INSIDE SOFA
NO AFTERHOUR SERVICE.
A number is given via voicemail if guest need service, however the phone number is bogus and does not work.
Be careful of water leak in bedroom - which attracts even more bugs.
Staff is nice, but does not know what person says to another.
Find somewhere else to stay!

Accomodation was nice and alot of personal details.
The staff were unhelpful. I asked for assistance a few times by Phone email and no response. The tvs in the rooms did not work, there was a long winded explanation of how they worked, which did not actually work. Non of the shops were open and food and drink was expensive but a free bus ride, which no one was told about, on arrival, meant you could go to the supermarket and buy things cheaper

Location was fantastic!~
Little to no staff help! We had no bathroom for TWO DAYS....and a manager NEVER contacted me. I had an incident with a drunk/high man passed out in the lounge near the elevator. It was near impossible to contract someone for help!

resort trail is good
I stayed at 4055 Coyote Fork condo unit and the unit is terrible. carpet and couch is very dirty. coffee maker is broken, bathroom ceiling is pealing, bedroom tv is so little like the size of the laptop. I stayed at Northstar resort in the past but, didn’t experience this horrible experience before. this is the worst unit I stayed at Northstar resort.

Had to take a shuttle to ski and to the village. Many of the dining facilities were closed!

The Bourbon pub was absolutely way too expensive

The particular unit we rented was extremely dated. Comforters were made into the bed under sheets and mine had oatmeal or something all over it. Furniture in living area was all torn up.(leather)

Scenery and air quality.
Your website shows pictures of the Northstar village, indicating that’s the location of the hotel. It ends up being some run down condo a mile away. Very disappointing at such practices by your website and reservations services. Will not be using it again. Will share my bad experience with friends and family.

easy access, close to the village, spacious
the comforters in the master bedroom had disgusting white stuff all over them. I’m still trying not to see. also, no wash cloths.
1.5 / 5.0
It had a shuttle to the ski lifts and large living area with kitchen.
I felt lied to because I thought from the photos it was a hotel room by the ice ring and village. It is a condo with steep stairs which was very hard with a 9 month old baby. Also the customer service was unfriendly and unresponsive. The house keeping even came first thing in the morning basically rushing us out. Plus all the dishes were in the dish washer who knows for how long and they had a wood burning fireplace with no wood
