Old world charm but currently undergoing renovations. A little fearful I'd get lost in all the corridors but I managed.
Did not like the coffee maker. Never did figure it out. No instructions. Gave up and went out for coffee.

Lovely, helpful staff! Very clean, comfortable room with air conditioning and newly renovated bathroom. Unbeatable location. Nice touches like bottled water, Nespresso machine, etc. They are clearly still renovating the interior, but I was aware of this beforehand so no surprises there. There was no noise, dust, or evidence of construction so it was really no issue at all.
My one suggestion would be to add safety locks on the doors! It adds a feeling of security for guests, especially women travelling alone.

The staff was welcoming and the room was clean and lovely.
There was nothing that didn’t meet our standards.

Staff were great! Very helpful, respectful, accommodating, polite.
Bed, small size room, outdated decor and furniture, old bathtub.

location, nice bedding, friendly staff
elevator out of service, no place in shower for soap or shampoo, window to other building close distance away.

Excellent location and you can go anywhere with 5-10 minutes walking. Facilities are ok and have nice European design. Staffs in here are nice and friendly. I would recommended this hotel if someone wants to traveling to Stratford!
Wi-Fi was not stable and sound insulation was not good. I can hear people’s conversation in the room. Most of the costs I incurred for this room were focused on the very good location.
6.0 / 10.0
Location is great, the Tom Patterson suite was nice and large and the king bed was neat and large.
Lobby was a disaster (undergoing construction, which wasn't mentioned until arrival). Shower water takes 3 minutes to heat up. Pullout and arm chair in suite were from a 2nd hand store and in poor repair.

The location was great. The room was newly renovated. It was clean.
The bathroom needed TLC.
10.0 / 10.0
It was rustic, yet up to date with lock tech. And the location was central to everything.
It had a small bathroom that was outdated, and the pillows were too big
4.0 / 10.0
Location is right downtown Stratford. The bed was nice.
The door to the room had paint chipped out of it. When I ran the shower, brown water came out for almost a minute. I decided to not use the shower. No kleenex. It was more like a cheap motel. And for the money I paid, I felt ripped off. What I don't understand is that the Stratford festival guarantees that during the summer they will make money. This place has been around for years, DECADES. You would think that over the past 20-30 years they would take some of the money that they make every summer and invest in... oh, painting the doors, replacing the disgusting carpet, upgrading the plumbing. If I ran the Stratford Festival I would have a meeting with these guys. This hotel is the first experience that someone will have of the festival. And it's disgusting.

I stayed here for 7 days in the winter, post-festival. The central location can't be beaten. The restaurant downstairs is good. This hotel is about to be renovated, so I hope to see it revitalized!
The hotel is aged and the decor seems like an afterthought. The staff are nice, but not always around. The room didn't have a dresser or desk. The bathroom was clean but stained. Not the best bed.

The room was clean and the bed comfortable
hooks on for coats would be good, along with some art on the walls

the staff and the location was great
The bathroom needed major updating, missing tiles and there was only sheer curtain to keep the back property from seeing in. The bed was tiny with broken springs to the point that I ended up sleeping on the couch.

not much
tiny, unfit bathroom, dangerous shower. Locking system terrible, awkward to use
9.0 / 10.0

8.0 / 10.0
Comfortable king size bed. Appreciated having the refrigerator and microwave. Convenient downtown location and only a short walk to most of the theatres. Large flat-screen TV. Housekeeping only upon request.
Wifi was unreliable. Plumbing is old and the water is rusty. This hotel used to be economical but now is expensive, undoubtedly because of all of the improvements that have been made.
