Our one bedroom included a full kitchen, a dining room, living room, and balcony. It was huge with big windows, interesting furnishings and so much character. The hotel is a boutique hotel that is a perfect size. There are restaurants and shops as part of the beautiful complex. You will get much more value here than at Hotel Coronado which has a flood of people there. And you are a quick walk to Hotel Coronado and the beach. Orange Avenue where this hotel is located is full of fun, local restaurants and shops!

The location could not be beat. I really enjoyed just walking off the street and going right up to my room. The atmosphere was so nice too, very pretty.
Everything was very nice. One night, an Uber had no place to drop me off. There were people parked in the white curb loading and unloading only. Not the hotel’s fault, but thought it was a shame.

Location is fantastic, in the heart of downtown Coronado area. You can walk to everything.
Floors are very creaky, bed was lumpy, walls are thin.

Uniquely charming and the number of windows and kitchenette were a pleasant surprise

The hotel is gorgeous and the room was fantastic. Very spacious one bedrrom suite with kitchenette. Extremely well appointed - was more like staying at a B&B than a hotel. TVs in both the lounge and the bedroom and an enormous walk-in closet!
I loved this hotel. There was some noise from the courtyard restaurant at night if you're sensitive to that - but it was all quiet again by around 9:30pm so not an issue while sleeping.

La posizione vicina alla spiaggia
La mancanza del secondo letto normalmente presente nelle camere standard, ma forse trattandosi di struttura non recente è stato sicuramente mantenuto lo stile originario dell' albergo molto caratteristico.

Kitchen in room
Noise level from very early until very late, couldn't open windows without increasing noise or being looked at by others, busy Mexican restaurant right outside windows/room, cleaning service left a lot to be desired, desk staff was rude, people milling around stairs up to the room, jacuzzi out of order despite being told it was working, leaf blowers/staff noise outside in early hours, people constantly going to/from downstairs shops, etc

Beautiful old building very short walk to the beach
It was all good but parking is a bit hard

The property was very unique, stair wells or steps with a stoop that led to individual rooms, manicured shrubbery to provide privacy it was a very quaint and cozy hotel with no public street noise even though it was located on a very busy corner.
The hotel doesn’t have a parking lot other then to be shuttled and pay $40 a day which is too expensive, but we were able to find spots close to the hotel for free.
I would stay again BUT I would ask for a quieter room. The room we stayed in was directly above their restaurant and starting at 6am the staff yelling at each other the dishes being thrown went on for hours each day Sun-Wed. this was irritating and a bummer for sure all four us wanted to yell out “shut the *#%$ up” wanted to add that none of our windows or doors were open. That being said I will 💯 stay here again just in a different room 😉

Nothing except the manager gave me a refund with a partial payment for the first day even though I left the property within a half hour.
Run down, funny odor, over busy restaurant, small outdated pool on busy street, and the price was outrageously expensive.

Super hotel with great location. The staff was very helpful. Very good atmosphere and delicious Mexican restaurant in hotel.

Location! Location! Location!
Staff! Customer Service!
We wanted to make our 50th wedding anniversary special (May19, 1973) and booked here - we received an early check-in, a beautiful box of chocolates with a personalized card from the GM (Chad) and a gift coupon for a free appetizer at one of their restaurants on the premises!
Our stay felt so special from the moment we walked in. Derrick and the rest of the staff was absolutely awesome!
Loved it! Will visit again and will recommend highly to anyone visiting Coronado Island!
Thank you.

Location, location, location, we loved the vibes at Coronado Island, The restaurants on your door steps.
my below neighbours complaining about noise when we were just arriving from a baseball game and were opening the sofa bed

We had a wonderful time. The room was nice- the bed VERY comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. We ate at Miguel's (on the property) for breakfast and also dinner on the patio-- WONDERFUL. It's a qick walk to the beach, shops, other restaurants (but why?), and the Del. We can't wait to stay at the El Cordova again. It's going to be our "go to" place to stay on Coronado Island.
Liked IT ALL

the hotel is very pretty, the bed is huge and the location is very convenient
it gets VERY LOUD between 6pm-9pm from the restaurant inside the compound, even with everything closed. during those times you either have to be out or put the TV on very loudly to drown the noise. also, they have a housekeeping on request system, which was really confusing, as we were told to put things outside for cleaning, but they dont return them. we called the reception a couple times for stuff which never came.

The location is great-close to shops and restaurants. The beach is a block away.

Would highly recommend! Smart to ask for a room away from the courtyard, as it was nice and quiet. We had a deluxe room with mini fridge, microwave & coffeemaker. Miguel's Cocina restaurant (good meal choice!) takes up much of the ground floor courtyard and since it's part open-air can get noisy at night. El Cordova was an excellent choice, friendly staff, nice room, excellent location near the beach, very convenient to many restaurants and shops. Housekeeping was very accommodating whenever we needed something. Only negative was the couch wasn't very comfortable as it's a sleeper sofa, which aren't typically made for comfort. The king sized bed, however, was good. TV's in both sitting room and bedroom.
Wish basic breakfast items were sold at the hotel. The closest breakfast place is Clayton's, it's excellent and like stepping back in the 50's. Also wish the hotel had a vending machine for water, etc. That would be very convenient. At least we didn't see any vending machines.

I loved everything about this hotel, location, comfort, perfect for my anniversary get away. I will go back hopefully very soon. I kind of felt as if I was in Mexico. I could hear the trash trucks after 7 am, kinda loud but other than that, a perfect getaway.

We arrived to find no place to park ! Then we were billed an additional $40 to park in a garage 1/2 mile away from the hotel !
