Our room was ocean front with access to the beach close by so we didn’t have to walk through much of the facility. View was beautiful. Room was refurbished and comfortable.
The rest of the property is sad and dated. The grounds are not well taken care of. Pool is small with sad, old chairs. Nothing resort-like about it. The inside doors to everything are peeling paint and full of dirt and smears. Way too expensive for the accommodations.

The location of the hotel is great. There is a big plaza 50 meter away which includes restaurants, shops and a market. The Restaurant of the hotel is also very good, it has a very nice atmosphere with live music. The hotel is very nice. The area is huge and very peaceful. Very comfortable and quiet hotel. Beach access is very convenient.
The pool should be cleaned more often. The breakfast can have more variety.

Ocean front view, very friendly staff, quaint sing and dance along with staff representatives from all departments-very sweet and authentic.
No elevator in building, lost water pressure on last day, run down carpeting, poor maintenance of boardwalk planters in front of facility.
Generally old and rundown building. Junky shower. We were told we got an upgrade to a better view if we didn’t mi d not having an elevator. We agreed but were disappointed after seeing conditions. Was surprised since this is a Hilton property.

The property was small and not overcrowded. It was close to the Whaler Village shopping center.
What I disliked about the property was that they were not transparent about their heir charging fees at check in. On the day of check in I was told that all my fees were covered and that I had paid everything before hand. However they did specified I had to have a credit card as a deposit hold on file just in case we did any damage or incurred any extra charges which we did not and was charged $194.65 for I don’t know what after we had already arrived back to our home base state.

Liked the close proximity to the beach. Room was clean. Beds were comfortable. Staff was pleasant.
Breakfast buffet was $30 per person but not at all what we expected for a continental breakfast. The rest of the breakfast days we went to a near by cafe for cheaper and was delicious.

Great children’s program with booklet of activities and amazingly kind staff leading lei-making and other cultural activities. Really terrific. The restaurant overlooking the beach was delicious and beautiful. We enjoyed the music and hula dancing very much.
It was wonderful, but too pricey in the end.

The hotel was in a great location for what we wanted. The staff were friendly and gave us some champagne as we were celebrating getting married.
The property feels out dated, but this could be our preference. Also renting a sun lounger on the beach seems a bit over the top.

Location was great to beach, restaurants and whalers village

Beach access was right there. Incredible views. Very nice valet and front desk staff.
Prices for extra services were in higher side. Room cleaning times were very inconsistent. need microwave in room to reheat leftovers.

Cabana rentals are a great bonus. Hui Hui restaurant with ocean air and views has a great lunch menu. Even a hamburger is specially prepared. Great service. Reception desk is friendly and helpful. Cultural offerings are unique to this hotel. Trilogy Catamaran pick up on beach for whale watching and snorkel trips is really fun. Best bang for buck on hotel rates. We've stayed here many times and never had a complaint. Mahalo!

location location location also new bar and restaurant area plus not too high rise
The entrance is a little shabby and the receptionist said she would deal with me then went into the back office and didn’t come out?

Very peaceful and access to the beach, oceanside walking path and shopping mall/restaurants. The best was the emphasis on traditional Hawaiian culture and traditions.

location was perfect - we walked daily, everywhere between black rock and the Westin - whalers village just steps away…perfect!
the pool area needs to be updated. new chairs and some attention to the pool deck - nothing major, just needs an update. I typically stay with Marriott/Hilton/Hyatt - but this trip we went with this location due to a recommendation from an acquaintance. so happy we did! fantastic value, awesome staff, great location.

Beautiful area, grounds were well kept, food was excellent at Huxhuh restaurant. Had a partial Ocean view room, with balcony. Sounds of waves crashing ashore at night were a great sleeping pill. Housekeeping was excellent. All staff were cheerful, easily accessed if needed.
The was absolutely nothing I didn’t like. It would have been nice to have more food options. But understanding the staff shortages, they did a remarkable job. And many other options were within walking distance.
9.0 / 10.0
The beach location is definitely the best on Kaanapali Beach. The beach is accessible and large. Not much shade in the area. The view from the balcony was breathtaking and the room itself was spacious.
They even sent up champagne for our honeymoon!
Huihui restaurant on the resort property had difficult hours if you wanted to sleep in, you would miss the breakfast open hours and would have to wait until lunch for the restaurant to reopen which was inconvenient and the presentation of food was sloppy (ie avocado toast special had barely any avocado and it was thrown on the plate)

great location, great for families, loved the staff who shared and conducted the cultural workshops, would be nice to have more affordable eating possibilities, though. Especially loved the cultural authenticity and the grounds were lovely.
more eating possibilities, especially with more affordable choices. The main restaurant was gorgeous but quite expensive

The location, right off black rock and close to restaurants and shopping at Whaler’s Village. ALL the staff was just incredible, it made it even more wonderful.
Their restaurant on site is always booked up for dinner, I wish they would at least allow their hotel guests the chance to be a walk in.

nice Hawaiian hotel with a very good restaurant
a little bit too expensive for me
