Location
sofa was very dirty, disgusting, for the amount of money will paid they can buy a new sofa
I've been looking to book a four-star hotel and it came out to be a barely 2 start - just to be fair. Breakfast $14 extra per person 🤣 what a joke

Kandice is very friendly and helpful. She has a lot of patience. I would definitely return to Double Tree again.

It didn't have any bugs.
Front desk staff was rude. Whenever the shuttle was needed it was not available.

well, it did have the convenience of having a restaurant and bar gathering area right in the facility to not have a free offering of coffee at all times is preposterous to me.
Oh well the registrar when we got there at approximately 8 PM at night did not give us any information on anything was very short I guess her phone call was more important than her job. But both restaurant servers we encountered. I don’t know the one girl on Saturday night it’s name but the lady on Mother’s Day morning Mindy was excellent went above and beyond to make our meal and time together very enjoyable. And also the manager we spoke to the next morning to get information that we were a little reluctant to ask it all at cheiken was very accommodating, very apologetic and very people friendly her name was a Deli kudos to them all!

close to airport, was able to get the shuttle to the hotel after 2 calls.
Bathroom had dirty towel on back of door, no bath mat and a very moldy toilet bowl. Picture doesn’t show how bad it was. Twice I called and talked to someone at the desk and told them I needed a shuttle next day back to the airport to pick up the rental car and my friend-when I went to schedule the shuttle for 2 PM, I was told there was no shuttle from the last one at 11 until 4 PM. This was not mentioned and this was why I chose this hotel because of the shuttle. I had to pay $13 for a Lyft ride back to the hotel. As a Hilton Diamond member, I was given a $15 credit to use on food but the staff never told me they only had service for breakfast earlier and the restaurant did not open until 5 PM. The staff never mentioned the hours at check in. So I wasn’t able to use the credit anyway.

I booked an extra night on my own and saved more than when I booked the room through booking.
The bed and pillows were not comfortable and the comforter was extremely worn out.

My booking.com reservation was not sent to the Hotel, therefore the room I reserved was not available (2 queen) for 3 adults. The receptionist was not very communicative and booking.com support hang up on me on the phone. I agreed to stay in a King room where one adult slept on the sofa bed. I received 4 breakfast vouchers as a compensation, which was not enough to cover 2 nights for 3 people. Other things such as WiFi instructions was not communicated at check in properly. At check out receptionist was not able to print my invoice and I was told that booking.com will send it to me. I still have not received an invoice for my stay after I emailed both booking.com and the hotel directly.

The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable.
Pool area was in unusable condition. It's an indoor/outdoor hybrid tiny pool area in disrepair. Not heated. Jacuzzi that was there at one time is now cemented in. It really should just be closed, and not listed as an amenity. Bar/restaurant closed at 9. Desk staff was fair, but suggested after not giving us cookies on check-in (with three kids under 5) that we would have to pay for any additional cookies... I guess they thought that we may be running some sort of cookie hustle.
In short, it's a pretty bad Double Tree. It's a fine hotel as a hotel, but really nothing more. The amenities don't justify paying more if other options are available. Though, the room itself felt more solid, insulated, and comfortable than a typical hotel.

It was clean and staff were great.
I don’t like that you have to purchase breakfast. When staying with competing hotel networks the lodging accommodations are nearly the same.
