The stay was pleasant and I was able to complete all of my planned activities with ease.

Friendly, helpful staff, modern clean room with all the standard amenities. A great bar and restaurant. Very good breakfasts with the option of either buffet or off the menu. In close proximity to a number of museums including the main reason for my visit, The National Civil War Museum which is well worth a visit. The city also boasts some fantastic architecture and a walk around the city provides some excellent photo opportunities.

With the location being right at one end of the main bar and restaurant strip and just diagonally across from the hospital, it can be a bit noisy at times during the night. There are also some homeless people and shady individuals loitering around the streets close to the hotel. As a solo traveller I didn’t feel safe enough to venture out at night time.

Perfect under the circumstances…

Nate was the best part of it all. While checking in, I explained to him that my husband is at Select Specialty Hospital. Nate said the most beautiful things and by doing so increased my hope. This world would be such a better place if there were more people like Nate. Also, the valet staff were awesome to deal with!

Valet parking is a mess. The colored big guy is the worst. I didn't trust him bc he was rude. So i parked in the garage right across the street.

There was a room available for us not too far from the venue we were visiting.

Fire alarm / fire department arrived shortly after check in. Could not hear alarm in rooms. Didn't realize there was an emergency. Room rate was high for the quality of the room. No one offered to carry our bags, show us to our room.

Not the best location, but the hotel itself isn’t bad. Wasn’t really notified of anything extra

Wasn’t really notified by the staff of any extra benefits we could receive while at the hotel. Decent stay, but for the amount of money we paid…I don’t know…just didn’t seem completely worth it.

FECES IN MY “CLEAN” TOILET UPON CHECK-IN!

There was feces in my “clean” toilet upon check-in! Absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. Management claimed to be discounting the rate, which I should have had the room comped… I never received the credit on my payment. This is a horrible and neglected hotel.

Very dated. Needs upkeep

The location is good and the staff was very nice and helpful.

The hotel is run down. The acoustics are bad and even on the sixth floor we could hear street noise like it was right outside our window. The HVAC is awful. It was very noisy and the room was either hot or cold. We wouldn't stay here again

It was a relaxing stay that exceeded my expectations.

I believe the gentleman who checked me in was named Dave. Him and his manager were most kind. He upgraded me to a king city view room and comped my bottle of water. The checkout staff was very kind as well. They offered my a free drink for the road. Every staff member I encountered was very kind and accommodating. They went above and beyond at every interaction.

If I had to be picky and work to find something wrong, I would say the exterior windows are overdue for a cleaning. Not a major issue, but that's the only thing I can think of that could have possibly been better.

I had to change my room. The first room did not have any lights working and the air conditioner was completely disconnected and was on the floor. The second room was very loud and smelled musty. The staff were kind and helped me change the room. However, it still wasn’t good.

We waited for several hours for our room to be ready, making us rushed for our evening plans and detracting from the overall quality of our stay.

Passable

The staff was all kind and helpful. The service was not bad.

The quality of the room was disappointing. One of the bedside lamps was not working. The sheets and bedding were covered in some kind of white fuzz that felt rough and got all over our clothes. You can tell the hotel has seen better days with its peeling wallpaper and deteriorating furniture. I also think the $25 valet parking is overpriced.
