Boutique hotel… enjoyed the amenities, bikes, complimentary evening wine, yoga mats with complimentary class, coffee, beach chairs and towels daily, room robes and slippers.. lovely classic beach decor room, quiet hotel, friendly personable staff! Nice diamond head view and partial ocean view from our room. 10/10
Very minor thing… complimentary evening wine per person however my spouse does not drink wine and the bar could not exchange the wine for a beer or mock tail. Would still stay there again.

Love the location and the staff. Very friendly and helpful!
The rooms on the third floor are lovely, and I enjoyed the rooftop garden. However, the cabinet and the sink in the room should be upgraded, to a built-in closet, and an area for the microwave and fridge.

Beautiful corner room with a view of Diamond Head and the ocean. Perfect for enjoying the complimentary wine at happy hour! Easy walk into Waikiki or reasonable Uber ride to other attractions/restaurants.

We loved our stay at the Lotus. The location is great, we loved that it’s on the quieter side of the Waikiki area. The beaches are beautiful and we also have a small private beach behind the hotel. The room is clean, the hotel provides some extras without charges which are great. The highlights of our stay are the front desk staffs. They are amazing, super kind and helpful folks. Everyone really strives to make sure we enjoy our stay. We got help from Cody, James, Trevor, Christiann and Melissa during our stay, they are fantastic and they made our stay special. We got to chat with them almost everyday about our fun activities and asked them for recommendations, they really showed that they are interested. Definitely recommend this hotel for your visit!
We wished the restaurant and the gym were open during our stay. We enjoy working out and wasn’t able to do that.

Warm and gracious welcome. Our room was adequate although our room the previous week was much better although they gave us a complimentary upgrade. This time the offer was a game of extra fees that we didn’t accept.
The restaurant finally opened and it didn’t meet expectations. Menu is limited and needs better focus and value.

We had a great view of Diamond Head with partial ocean view..a superb location and within walking distance of downtown, yet far enough away from the hectic Waikiki core. We loved the free perks like the Illy espresso machine which was better than some of the expensive coffee shops. There was free wine tasting during the week, and use of a washer dryer on one of the floors. (You had to pay for detergent, but it was very reasonable.) The front desk folks were exceptional: warm, welcoming and helpful, including Christie Ann, James and Cody - they showed true aloha and made us feel cared for. We also loved being so close to Kapiolani Park, Diamond Head and the beach!
One of the cleaners wore heavy cologne. It would be helpful if employees did not wear scent as one of our family members is highly reactive and gets headaches/sneezes from it. Also, there was only one working elevator, so not convenient if you are in a rush to get somewhere on time.

Views were good. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.
Housekeeping was erratic. One day they'd come at 2:30 PM then they'd show up at 9 AM.

Location
We were place city side view corner wish that the sliding doors are noise reduction type you can really hear cars at a certain time. Over all the room was spacious. Furnishing needs an upgrade. Other than that stay was wonderful!

The staff was helpful and friendly. The location is far enough from the busy and touristic area, yet walkable to restaurants and shopping if wanted. A test view of Diamond head and the park. I liked the wine hour and the free access to water and water bottle provided in the rooms.
Mostly, I was expecting an oceanfront property with beach chairs. It is not. There is a row of buildings in between this hotel and the ocean. There is very partial view of the ocean from the room. There are beach chairs that you need to carry to the closest beach, about 130-150 meters . That is a very small and family beach. To walk to the next larger beach us about 4-5 blocks.
Once I adjusted my expectations, it wasn’t bad. It’s just not what I understood from the description

The staff were amazing, friendly, accommodating and always went above and beyond.

There was no breakfast available which we didn’t like. There was a good, rather expensive restaurant just a short distance away.
Our room, decor in the lobby was very attractive. Delicious Valentine cookies were
delivered to our room which was nice. Free parking, close to Diamond Head and parks,
Away from crowds.
It would have been better if there was some kind of breakfast available.
The dining room was only open four days a week
and it may have been only for dinner,

We very much enjoyed our weeklong stay at Lotus Honolulu. It was lovely to stay in a hotel close to a beach and next to and across the street from large parks. While we could easily walk to the hubbub of the strip, we loved the peace and quiet of the hotel’s location. It was also delightful to be in a smaller property rather than a mega hotel.
We appreciated the large room with the spacious comfortable balcony. Opening the balcony doors for fresh air and the songs of the birds- who nested in a nearby tree and even serenaded us on the patio railing- was a real treat. The air conditioning unit in the room worked well and quietly when needed, the bed was comfortable and the shower had excellent water pressure. The large bathroom counter and extra credenza in the bathroom made it easy to stay organized and keep everything in easy reach. The microwave and fridge were handy. Towels were thick and plentiful and the hotel had high quality generous amenities. The gift of a pair of nice sized aluminum water bottles was very handy and of course are accompanying us home.
The staff made our stay special. We were always greeted very sincerely with a cheerful, “Aloha” whenever we came in, and know that the offer of assistance with whatever we needed was sincere. Any staff member we saw was gracious and friendly and seemed to really care that we were enjoying our stay. I don’t know all of the names, but do remember Christieann at the front desk. Our housekeeper, Merly, was amazing! She kept the room spotless, and when she saw us in the hallway asked if there was anything else we needed. Everyday, the room was cleaned immaculately, and the bed remade perfectly- triple sheeted with comfortable white cotton. When we asked for soft pillows they were quickly provided.
We had dinner in the restaurant one evening-supplementing the complimentary wine reception with a meal of the delicious small plates, which were perfect to share.

Location was good, walking to a few nearby places was comfortable. Knew in advance that there was a very short walk to the beach, which was fine. Free parking was much appreciated.
Room was a good size and well appointed, nice balcony.
Staff gracious and helpful.
Hooks/ towel bars needed in the bathroom!
"Park view" questionable on lower floor but ocean somewhat visible instead.
No tea in the room, coffee only.

We were completely disappointed. Don’t have highlights of this hotel.
We had booked a front ocean view room a month in advance and they didn’t have the availability by the time we checked in. The concierge Angelica gave us a room with partial ocean view and didn’t provide any other solution. We didn’t like the view, the fact that the hotel don’t have any amenities and the bad attitude of the staff. We left the hotel the same day and booking tried to get a written authorization for the refund multiple times. The manager Melissa didn’t even reply back to booking.

Location.
The elevator! It needs to be replaced. When it stops and lands on our floor, it abruptly stops hard and does not line up with the floor; lands mid-way. Dangerous and hazardous! Please spend the money to update your elevator before someone gets hurt!

great location a few steps from a beautiful beach, exceptional service and value for money.
the property is well maintained but certain parts could benefit from a refresh.
3.0
Very spacious bed and bath rooms although shower enclosure is a bit tight. Microwave in unit and free wifi. Staff are friendly. Property is being marketed as beachfront but there really is no access to the beach from the hotel. You have to walk a few steps around another hotel to get to the beach. Quite and serene area with nice park across.
1. Toilet clogged on our 4th night. No avail staff except 1 person at front desk who just hand over the plunger. So I ended up declogging the toilet and cleaning the mess. The only time I have ever stayed at any hotel in US where only a receptionist was on duty was in 3 star hotels like Holiday Inn Express, La Quinta Inn, etc… Lotus Honolulu is being marketed as 4 star. Other than the room size, not sure its the right rating.
2. Our A/C went out on our 5th night of stay. We usually spend the whole day outside the hotel exploring the island so we only get to see the problems with the rooms at night upon our return and when the maintenance team are gone for the day.
3. Far from restaurants, etc… Waikiki beach is 20-30 minutes walk.
4. Hotel is old.
5. Only 1 elevator was working when we were there and its very slow.
6. Bed didnt have headboard. Not sure if this is just our room or standard across the hotel? Again first time I have encountered this in a hotel and one with a 4 star rating.
7. No concierge services. Again, something I would expect from a 4 star hotel unless there is a diff rating system in Hawaii.

close to diamond head and beds were quite comfy.
not good value for money. looks more like a motel.
2.0
The staff. The pillows. The beds were fresh and clean.
I called prior to our arrival numerous times for two days. No answer. I sent an email. No answer. Someone returned my call after I arrived and no longer needed assistance. Also, I reserved my room four months ago and asked for a room with a view. I got the 3rd floor with a view of a nice roof and a parking structure. I find it hard to believe you couldn’t have given me a room with a view. The bath handles for the sink leaked. The sink in the main room has a loose handle too. The sink in the main room serves no purpose. The furniture didn’t fit into the room - the cabinet with the refrigerator and microwave did not open completely making using the microwave very awkward. The phones were old and didn’t work. The alarm clock did not work. Lastly, my husband just now tells me he saw a cockroach in our room.
3.5
The balcony, with a view to both the ocean and Diamond Head, was wonderful, we spent a lot of time there.
Being able to borrow beach chairs and towels from the front desk was very convenient!
The hotel is very thin on amenities - no food, drinks or coffee except for one expensive restaurant and the in-room machine; a pool would've been great; getting to Waikiki takes longer than you'd expect
