Wonderful

The hotel is really beautiful, interior superb, very old european, breakfast was avarage, staff very helpful and nice, king size standard room was very comfy. Coffee machine in the lobby was a nice surprise

Nice location and quiet bed and breakfast.

San Niklas Casita is upstairs (above carport), separate from the main building, and is large and quiet. We didn't use the fancy tub, but the bed was very comfortable, and fireplace very cozy. Breakfast choices were good, although I prefer a buffet type setting. Cookies in afternoon are a nice touch, and filtered water dispenser made more sense than individual bottles of water.

Coffee in room and breakfast room is a bit weak. Separate coffee machine in lobby has stronger coffee. Gate to the main house is locked between 10:00 pm and 7:30 am, so plan accordingly. Breakfast on the first day (eggs and bacon) included only one strip of bacon, no potatoes. Breakfast on second day had two strips of bacon and some potatoes, but it was evident that staff was not ready for us at 7:30......no coffee, tables not set, saw only one person cooking and serving. Perhaps someone didn't show up.

Very relaxing and pleasant peaceful location

Lovely tasty breakfast and great to sit out on balcony with hummingbirds next to us... beautiful peaceful location, We liked our room, although it was quite small. Jacuzzi bath was nice. Managed to get last parking spot in car park fortunately. Friendly staff and short walk to beach..

REAL GEM IN SANTA BARBARA

Location is fantastic, close to beach & downtown, very charming, great amenities such as free breakfast, fresh cookies & filtered water daily, espresso machine in lobby. Superior King room was very large and tastefully furnished. Staff were very friendly & helpful. Loved everything about this hotel!

No elevator; charming & historical but problematic for our luggage. Staff helped with luggage checking in. :)

Amazing lil’gem of a place

Convenient, beautiful, wonderful staff at lobby. The bed was very comfy and wonderful touches to the room. Breakfast was great.

Extremely disappointing and overpriced stay in a dingy, outdated building.

The staff was friendly enough although not particularly competent. The location was pretty convenient.

- The entrance to the "casita" felt like entering a construction site trailer office. It felt nothing like the charming photography on the web site that is representative of the other casitas exterior. - The lighting was bad, especially in the bathroom. The jacuzzi tub checks the box but it's such an uninviting setting with such hostile lighting that we did not use it. The plastic rose petals didn't help. - The limited space in the room being used to try to sell us cheesy etched wine glasses. - The sheets had a weird stain that didn't come from us (unfortunately we didn't notice it until the next morning). They were also synthetic which for almost $500 seems ridiculous. - The fireplace did not have an automatic shut off, although at least it put out a good amount of heat. - The service at breakfast was sub-par as was the breakfast itself. We were not given utensils initially.

Very quaint and well kept boutique hotel.

They ran out of bacon on the second day, which made sense why they only offered one piece on the 1st day. The eggs were good and the fruit cup was yummy. The room felt like it was cleaned properly and it smelled fresh when we got there.

More bacon. I felt it was a bit overpriced but it is a lovely property.

Our stay at the Eagle Inn far exceeded our expectations. The room was amazing, spacious and comfortable. The fireplace was cozy, and the two-person jetted tub was relaxing after a beautiful day walking on the beach. The breakfast was excellent and different each day. The hotel was extremely close to everything, while being located in a quiet neighborhood. Peter was professional and helpful as we enjoyed great restaurants and local activities

Superb

It was an excellent hotel. The rooms were clean, mattress comfortable and a proper shower. It‘s located close to the beach, most restaurants in city center are walking distance, too. The staff, especially Peter, was super nice and helpful.

The breakfast was only „okay“, that definitely could be improved. But I‘d go there anyways again.

Perfect stay with my daughter

We spent 3 nights with my daughter. Everything was perfect: quiet, clean, cozy. The breakfast has a special meny that changes everyday. I recomend it. If we go back to Santa Barbara we will stay at The Eagle Inn for sure!

very nice staff extremely pleasant and helpful. Accommodation cleaned daily. Very central location

location was perfect, breakfast was very nice and good choices. Room was cleaned daily and tea and coffee provided

very sparce kitchen utensils and crockery. No drainer for pots or tea towel provided very basic with only a microwave obviously most guests eat out but we had our granddaughter with us and would have liked to prepare a nice simple meal at times

We loved how close the Inn was to town but it was so quiet. Breakfast outside on the terrace was lovely.
