We were there for my husband’s birthday and the 4 th of July festivities.
Everyone went above and beyond to make it special. Gave us a room with a perfect view without having asked. The breakfast service was exceptional by staff that has been there over 20 years. Special kudos to our server Ramona. And a big thank you to Mayling the sales coordinator/manager. Old school hospitality.
So refreshing. The building is 74 years old and has so much character. She was a gem in her day and is still beautiful.
If walls could talk what tells they would tell.
Thank you to all that made our stay welcoming.

This was the nastiest hotel I’ve ever stayed at. It gave gutter butt run down motel 6 vibes. If I were a prostitute I wouldn’t even sell ass in this hotel. It’s that gross. The ceilings had cracks in it. The paint was peeling in the bathroom and the phone didn’t even work.
The cleanliness… and got the nerve to charge almost $300 for 1 night. THE NERVE. It was so nasty I swear the room had bed bugs. I didn’t even want to take my damn shoes off or put my things on the ground. I had to sleep on top of the covers and use my travel pillow. It was absolutely unacceptable. The staff did nothing but say oh sorry:

I liked the location as the hotel is located within walking distance to several stores and Bayside Market. The hotel rooms were of nice size.
The hotel was extremely dated and in immediate need of upgrades. The rooms were dated with old furniture. The bathroom was in definite need of some TLC. The shower had black areas in the tile and corners of shower wall and tub. The area around the toilet was not the best either. The toilet was extremely close to the sink with no sink space at all. Everything about the room screamed I dont want to sit here or bathe here. The beds were comfortable but there was trash such old coffee lids left on the floor between the bed & night stand from previous guests. The power outlets in the room were also very dated and did not work. I cannot remember the last time I stayed in a hotel where you can actually unplug the lamps and etc in the room. The elevators were also extremely small and ended up not working and we had to take the stairs from the 8th floor. Which at several times was a major inconvenience and just not possible because we had my elderly mother with who is not able to walk stairs at all. We ended up having to wait up to 15 mins or more for an elevator. Overall the hotel really needs to be upgraded especially for the amount of money we paid just for one night. Almost $400 for one night is a lot for such substandard facilities. On top of that, because we booked through booking.com we did not receive the drink allowance or ticket for the "on site restaurant". Which honestly for what we paid vs what we had to endure, we definitely should have received some type accommodations.
Would my family and stay here again on our next trip to Miami...absolutely not!

Location to the port
The room had a strange stinky smell, it felt wet inside the room. The caulking around the tub was gross, cracks in the drywall, the kitchen light didn’t work, the carpet was dirty, our pillow cases were dirty as they still had makeup on them presumably from the guest prior. And the breakfast that was “free” was not good. Very limited options.

Apenas la ubicación.
La estructura del hotel es la peor que estuve de todos IHG. Viejo, mal cuidado y con personal de baja atención a cliente.

My family and I love the location of this hotel. It's a little outdated, and maintenance is needed throughout the rooms. It's okay to stay for a day or two.

The location was good
The breakfast was a joke don’t do it. $30 for scrambled eggs someone added water to. Also when we were there the elevators were not working and if that wasn’t bad enough the stairways lead you to a back alley! This place is trash

Location. We were able to leave our bags safely at the hotel while we went exploring the day of the start of the cruise.
The pool was broken and I suspected our room had flooded as the carpet was wet and the room had a musty smell. We flew in very late and we were exhausted. I did complain the next morning of the terrible condition of the room. That room is unhealthy and should never have been rented. When we left the hotel the person supervising our baggage said when the cruise was over we could come leave our luggage so we could site see until it was time to go to the airport. We were delighted with him. However, after we had taken a cab from port to the hotel a very rude and grouchy lady- who said she was the manager - said she would not hold our luggage. So we missed a day of site seeing.
