The staff were very, very kind and I appreciated their hospitality. The facilities were also clean and our room was quite spacious.
We arrived right around check-in but our room wasn't ready yet. The lobby was full of people there for an event and also waiting for check-in. The staff were kind and courteous but didn't tell us what to expect. We were unsure if we were going to be informed when our room was ready. We finally just checked at the desk again.
A hotel manager was at the desk and very kindly got us checked in and gave us free breakfast and a suite upgrade for our trouble. This was nice of him and appreciated.
The facilities are undergoing renovation but look so old and tired. The elevator was alarmingly squeaky. The sofa in our room was worn and tired. The suite we were given faced the pool and that pool was ROWDY and loud until after 10PM. We had to get up early so... that wasn't exactly enjoyable to us.
The hotel restaurant is under renovation which made breakfast incredibly slow and awkward. Breakfast is currently held in a barren conference room. It was severely under staffed so service was slow. The food was good but based on the ticket we received, we were expecting a buffet, not full-service. This is fine but... it took a lot longer than we were expecting so we were running late hitting the road.
When we went back up to our room to grab our things to leave, the key didn't work. The staff quickly fixed this for us but it lead to having to walk back and forth through the building several times and made us leave even later.
Given the price point, we would choose a different hotel in the future. I feel the price was overcharging for the amenities.

Absolutely nothing. It was the worst hotel I have ever been at.
The air conditioning did not work properly and we were told we were not allowed to set it lower than 70. No breakfast. The pool was not heated like they said. Hot tub was disgusting and falling apart. Carpet was coming up in our room and my son cut his foot on the tack. They did not care. No hot water or water pressure. Staff was extremely rude.

The beds were comfortable
The hot tub/pool water looked disgusting. We didn't even get to go swimming because it was so dirty looking. the complementary breakfast was ridiculously slow, we ended up leaving and going to the village inn and had to buy breakfast so we didn't actually use the vouchers. No vending machines anywhere other than the lobby "store" so we had to go from the 3rd floor and across the entire hotel just to get something to drink and half the time there was no one at the desk for us to pay for it so we had to just stand there and wait for 10 minutes.

The location
The grill was closed most of the stay, I booked the room for two days so one day we could swim, the pool was closed nor did we get notice of it being closed. We paid $144 per night.

Location was good. Staff was great.
Bathroom toilet didn’t seem to work the greatest as it didn’t want to flush right.
9.0
very nice staff
clean
accomodated our requests
since Green Mill closed breakfast was horrible - tiny room, two few servers, small menu and no grab and go options - I prepaid for breakfast that I ended up getting somewhere else

staff couldn’t have been more pleasant and helpful. the bed was fabulous.
right next to the highway. the noise from cars and motorcycles was very loud. I will never stay here again. I’ve never been in such a noisy hotel.

Not included with the cost. And not advertised properly. No pricing or times
The pool and hot tub were dirty. A deposit was required that wasn't stated before check in. The floor and carpet were wet( in the living room area). At check out the front desk attendant was eating a plate of food and talking with her mouth full( very unpleasant and unprofessional). Didn't ask if I wanted a receipt and I didn't receive one until I called and asked for them to email it to me.

The location of this hotel is right off the highway. About 18 minutes from downtown Kansas City. There's not a lot of dining options within walking distance but the lobby was tidy and from afar it looked like a nice hotel.
Quiet time is not enforced at the hotel after 10 PM. The weekend we stayed there was a wedding going on and they partied for awhile. A neighboring room was loud until at least 11:30 PM, and above we heard people running around until about 2:30 AM. I tried to complain in the morning to the front desk staff person but I waited up front for about 5 minutes. No one ever came to the desk and I needed to leave. The restaurant onsite is being remodeled so breakfast is being served out of one of their conference rooms. The furniture in our room was ratty and had holes in it. The pool was nice but my kids wished it was bigger. Someone threw a bunch of soap in the hot tub so that was very bubbly, it was kinda fun but also kinda annoying. There was water damage from a burst pipe or something down our hallway so a dehumidifier was running all weekend long. It would have been nice to have been told these things by the staff. It's also supposed to be a smoke free hotel but it smelled like marijuana and smoke at random times during our stay. Save yourself the hassle and go stay somewhere else.

location. and the cleanliness of the property
5.0
The location was okay, and the bed was comfortable.
I was under the impression there would be breakfast, but I was misinformed through your website. The room was not totally clean, there were hairs on the toilet, the toilet didn't flush unless we went into the tank, and the morning staff was not very friendly.
3.0
The bed was like sleeping on concrete. When I informed the person at the front desk, the response was simply, all the beds are the same as required. While that maybe true there was no attempt to move me to another room. The attitude is You got what you paid for, you should have stayed on a better hotel.
