Beautiful foyer and dining facilities.
Spent most of the stay waiting on an elevator. Never a luggage cart! Noisy! Dogs! Dogs! Dogs! Is this a dog motel? First night a dog barked from 1130 pm until 1 am!

Staff very friendly and helpful - view from the balcony- close to town- prices at the bar and restaurant very reasonable.
House keeping upon request- door didn’t close unless you pushed it till you heard it click- toilet kept running-other than that it was a very nice place

Beautiful lobby, bar, atmosphere.
No attached pool or hot tub during off season. No place to hang bathroom towels if more than two people in room.

Everyone was above and beyond nice and helpful to me!!! Hospitality overflowing!!!

I loved having a bar and restaurant on site.
Very small bathrooms, and things needed to be fixed up and updated, for the price you were paying.

Location was great, but the bathroom was a bit dated and cramped. Our wing housed a single elevator that was seemingly occupied by hospitality staff every time we attempted to use it.
The Manager for the Restaurant on site was quite rude. Late Friday (6/16/23) morning/early afternoon, I found him sitting at a table in the bar area, seemingly reconciling receipts and cash drawers. He was the only employee in the area, and more importantly, the only restaurant employee. Per a sign close to concierge directing guests to the bar if they wanted to fill water bottles or large cups, I asked this gentleman if he could assist me, and, I even offered to pop behind the counter and help myself, so he did not have to get up. He snarkily replied, "Do you work here?" I said, "No sir -" at which point he interjected, by rudely chucking, "then, No, you cannot go behind the counter. The bartender will be here shortly." Slightly taken aback, I stated, "My apologies, I will remain on this side of the counter. I simply did not want to make you get up, I can see you're busy." He replied, "The bartender will be here shortly." After a few moments of waiting, and the bartender not appearing, he got up from his chair with a grunt of annoyance, and filled my Yeti cup with soda water. I thanked him profusely, and began to walk away. After only taking a few steps, I heard him shout, "Ya know, that isn't supposed to be free - next time it won't be." I then turned and thanked him again for his help. As I was walking away, I overheard him recount the interaction to an employee that had just walked into the bar area, presumably the bartender he'd referenced, and snarkily laugh at my expense. Look, I have no problem paying for services/goods rendered, but, I do take issue with unnecessary rudeness, especially when pertaining to a nickel's worth of soda water....I believe my nearly $600 payment for my stay could afford me 20oz of soda water, for Christ's sake. Not to mention, my finance and I were staying at the Plaza while attending a wedding.

loved the location and the views
the smell in the room was awful! it seems to be a musty smell so not sure if just old carpet or from dampness but it was not good

My first room was unacceptable. Very dirty and smelly. I was offered a much better one. Breakfast was wonderful and staff were every tentative and nice. Dinner was great. Just enough to fill me. The location will hidden away from the hustle and bustle of the City which is great.
I didn't like that the balcony was dirty with cobwebs.

Hotel was beautiful inside and out
Parking is down a big hill, you have to walk up the hill to get to the main lobby.

We have stayed at this location at least once a year for the past 12 years; however, this trip was a bit disappointing. While the front desk staff was friendly and made check in easy, the restaurant staff was terrible. The cleanliness of the room was not up to par either. I believe this is our last trip to this hotel, especially when there are so many other choices in Asheville.
The room was
John, who works in the restaurant is a disaster. After he poured my husbands coffee and my water (all over the floor and the table, and a bit in my lap), we walked out and got breakfast elsewhere (even though our booking included breakfast). We have had the breakfast at this location before and was looking forward to the experience, but John definitely ruined it. When he came to the table, he poured my husbands coffee, sat the thermos down and said "pour." He then proceeded to pour my water and did so all over the floor, the table, and me.....and he kept on pouring while acknowledging that is was going everywhere and the glass was overflowing. Finally, he just sat the glass down on the table and walked away.
The room (bathroom specifically) was not very clean as the floor looked like it had not been mopped.

I love that they are supporting the bluegrass music + allowing us to use their location for fellowship. The room was clean + very soft. We slept great.
Sadly, we were on floor one, on the quite end. When I booked the room I did request via call to be placed in the bluegrass side since I would be working in the Expo all week. I guess their was a room change. The 1st floor is lacking the love the rest of the floors have. the ceilings + the walls seem cheaply done, + you can see the wall seems through the poor wallpaper in the halls + my room. The appliances as poorly outdated. ( a very very small older style fridge). Only 3 outlets worked for us + the TV does not give an input option to use hook to a computer to stream. The store is Highway robbery. $3 for a juice is a little much. The shower floods the floor terribly which could cause a slipping Hazard. For the price, I wish I could have experience a stay worth the rate. It’s a beautiful place, but some of the hotel is lacking the updates.

Extremely dirty, poorly maintained, disorganized hotel. My son, my husband and I got sick and had to cancel our vacation due to the accumulation of dust mites in the hotel room. Dirty air conditioning, dirty carpet, speechless. Value far above cost benefit.
