Overall average place to stay

The location and view were wonderful. Liked that this unit was ground floor and had a beach view.

The unit was very dated. The listing said that the unit had A/C. However, it was a window unit, and the air never reached the master bedroom which made it very hot to sleep in. The property was not very child friendly. The pool is extremely small, and the beach is very rocky. Also, the property management team onsite was not very friendly.

Welcome, gift Ocean view Koi pond outside door. Easy walk to Marina

Broken mirror on lanai, grout on floor and carpets dirty, screen door unusable, no baseboards, mop stains on walls, ac only works marginally, kitchen sink corrosion, 2, broken glasses in cabinet, track lighting, 1 out. Really needs updated and repairs.

Fantastic holiday and sea views - as long as you don't need any service and has an online phone

Uninterrupted sea view just below the balcony, spotting green sea turtles every day. Relaxed and quiet environment, without being isolated. Walking distance from aquarium and restaurant. Swimming pool.

There were no staff available throughout our 6 day long stay. It was annoying to only get the door entry code one day before arrival, especially while travelling, struggling to get mobile phone connectivity etc. We spent a lot of time helping another family that arrived and who have not received the email with the entry code because an agent booked on their behalf. They had their booking confirmation printed out, but had no means of getting in their pre-paid apartment. There were never any staff available to ask to help with anything during the 6 days we were there. These poor people could not get phone reception, so we invited them to our apartment and thankfully the phone in our apartment worked, so we could phone booking.com and managed to get the entry code eventually. Otherwise it was perfect for us - nothing fancy, but peaceful and quiet while still having a holiday atmosphere. We want to go back again!

conveniently located space. with great ocean views, sunsets and sunrises.

location and view was great.

nothing not to like. but would have loved some improvements on the AC front. It would get hot and humid at night. A couple of the table fans didn’t work. The ancient PC in there needs to be retired. there was no cable TV. but none of the above mentioned were absolute deterrents. I still had a good stay.

Unit was not ocean facing as was advertised on the site! I spent the first two days talking to vacasa customer service trying to find a different property. While they were responsive and ended up reimbursing for the disappointment and for spoiling the vacation, I would not book in island sands resort again.

It was overall a comfortable stay with such a beautiful view of the ocean.

The location was amazing. We had a beautiful ocean view and had the luck to see so many sea turtles.

We did have a good time while @ Island Sands resort

The view and property were nice. Pool was good. Easy to property from airport.

There were not many restaurants to eat at. There were not any groceries stores close to buy food. Pretty far from social activities and to nicer beaches. Room sliding glass door was broken as well as screen in 208 so we couldnt have door open for fresh Ocean breezes.

The mattress on the sofa bed was horrible. Springs were nearly bare….. slept on the floor.

Great location & clean, but the property is ageing and unnecessary disturbance by management for pest control.

Great location, clean & organized. plus the swimming pool was very nice.

broken floor tiles in kitchen & cabinet face board fell on my wife’s foot? Mid week the manager unexpectedly knocked on the door around 10:00 am to inform us that the pest control company was here to spray our unit? Pest control is something to be done while vacant! So that you do not disturb occupants, that are there for 7 days only!

don’t stay at island sands

The location, The rooms, The view

we didn’t like about this place is the people they are rude, nosy, and find things to complain about they don’t keep to them selfs. The staff is rude as well plus after 12 pm no one is in the office but if they have something to complain about they will call you on your stay. They made me and my family very uncomfortable and not welcome especially for the amount of money we paid to stay at that resort just because we were a big group. Everything they found wrong was some how towards us because we stood out. If I new my stay there was going to be this uncomfortable I would have spent my hard earned money and time somewhere else.

Excellent location, good space with in-unit kitchen and laundry; could use some improvements.

Passable

This is a run down property ; staff tried their best I give them that, but the lack of proper AC and the lack of amenities was a real let down. There is one really old AC unit which is no solution to this 2 br condo.

Stay was ok - would definitely do my homework next time and make sure AC is available in all rooms.

Good view of the ocean Couple of nice restaurants within walking distance

No air conditioning in the back room, room was down the hall and was hard for the one air conditioner to cool room down , made it hard to sleep. Also, the AC unit had a book shelf and couch in front of it which made it hard for the air to circulate properly. They did have a few fans which did help

loved the view. Could use some updating

location & peacefulness

crawling insects/bugs in living area; problems connecting with internet; unable to connect to Netflix; was unable to get clothes washer to operate-pushed and held button as instructions indicated, but nothing happened. Button ended up sticking and would not release. We gave up trying to use the clothes washer.
