Beautiful entrance. Old Hollywood charm.
Rooms small-cream in room for coffee had gone bad
4.5
Best possible location! Big room. Nice hotel.
Valet parking felt unnecessary. Worked perfectly though. Shower wet all the bathroom floor - a design failure.

The location

Great location! Friendly staff! Clean!
If you are sleeping on the State Street side, it’s loud at night. The bathroom and shower weren’t the most amazing. No room for amenities, toilet terribly loud, shower got water all over the floor.

Our first stop on our 101 highway road trip was Santa Barbara, and it was a wonderful experience. The hotel's location is perfect, as it is within walking distance of all the major attractions, including the picturesque Stearns Wharf. Although the room had a slightly dated feel to it, the bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Since we were mainly exploring the area, it was a nice and comfortable place to rest for the night.
The hotel's entrance from the main street is beautiful, and the staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. We forgot two jackets in the closet while still feeling inspired after our first stop, and the hotel promptly shipped them back to our home in Florida. We are very grateful for their prompt response and excellent customer service.
One of the things that made our stay even better was the EV charger for our Tesla. It was very convenient to have it available, and overall, we had a fantastic stay in Santa Barbara. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling along the 101 highway.
Oh! One thing that I want to add. When you will visit the Stearns Wharf try out the Santa Barbara Sea Urchin at Santa Barbara Shellfish Company! It is mind and soul-blowing!
The elevator :) Was an unforgettable experience!) Our stop number 5 was at San Francisco Palihotel, where there was a 100-year-old elevator, but this one broke the record!
Although it may not be the fastest way to get up and down, the elevator is a unique feature of the hotel that should be kept. It adds character and a sense of nostalgia that you will remember forever. lol
Oh and I remember when booking the room, reading bad comments about the noise level. We had a very good sleep, and nothing was bothering us. It was quiet and peaceful.
2.5
The bathroom was clean and there were many options for tea, coffee and water in the room
The bed and bedding was uncomfortable and the room was much smaller then pictured on the website.
3.5
the lobby , location and the front man desk is super
old elevator , rooms are very small overpriced ..
4.5
Great location! Close to everything on State St, nice walk to the beach and funk zone. The hotel is really nice and our room was small but clean and quaint. A little pricey but we did stay on presidents day weekend.
A little loud at night with being so close to bars etc. But nothing too crazy.
5.0
The location and the awesome young lady at the front desk.
Can't say that I disliked much maybe the room size was a bit small but it was comfy.

This property has a great location. It also is very well maintained and clean.

Staff (front desk and valet), quiet, room, location
Lobby needs updating. Go with the 1920's spanish style (like the chairs on the stair landings, and a couple pieces in the lobby, get some rugs, paint, change the art! The music in the lobby was weird too. Add some pastries in the am.

The staff and the bed were super. The retrofit elevator was nifty!
While we don't go to hotels to watch TV, we were surprised at the small size. There was coffee in the room, but no sugar. To turn on the shower you must stand in front of the shower and get an initial blast of cold water. There were food options surrounding the hotel, but no food in the hotel. There was both street noise (and possibly hall noise) in the middle of the night.
3.5
the property’s lobby is well maintained. The parking valet staff and desk staff are wonderful. The room was quaint. The location is perfect and close to restaurants and bars.
The room was not totally ready for our stay as it was supposed to be when we arrived in it. There were no coffee cups and a Starbucks cream cheese was on the stand.
4.0
Right on State St in the heart of SB shopping, bars, restaurants. Very convenient.
Unless you plan on staying out late, try and get a room at the back of the hotel as bars and restaurants downstairs pump out music until 1am
5.0
convenient location and beautiful
was only there one night so didn’t find anything I didn’t like
4.5
Perfect location in downtown State Street, close to restaurants and shops. Also location was not too far, for a nice walk, to the funk zone and
the beach.
Nothing bad to say.
