It is a lovely and convenient place to stay and visit Alexandria , quite close to Old Town sites.

Breakfast was good. Better than I would expect for free breakfast.

My room was too warm, even in late November. However the engineer came to my room and fixed the problem, and coached me on how to use the thermostat.

This will be my hotel from now on when I go to Alexandria.

The staff was exceptional!! Everyone I encountered was helpful and polite.

My only complaint was the shower head in the bathroom. Updates need to be made to handheld shower heads. I think it would also help the water pressure.

Great Choice hot and cold breakfast. Stocked up throughout Breakfast Staff on hand Tables cleaned and plenty of space. The staff were so accommodating. We had luggage problems with the airline and even though we had checked out they still worked with us to ensure the bags were finally delivered. They also allowed an early check in in one room which was great. Staff at reception were so good Thank you !! Free shuttle bus worked great for getting to Metro on those hot mornings, although really is only a short walk. But also great to get down to the Waterfront in the evening. Great location

Not for business travel: low comfort, rip-off for extras like water and WiFi, unhealthy breakfast

The rooms are spacious, the bed was comfortable. A supermarket is close by. The staff is friendly and in particular the janitor who has to fix all the negligences of the hotel management was fantastic at all times. The gym rooms have standard equipment which in my case was absolutely okay.

The first room, the hotel team assigned was next to a construction site, in the second room after I changed, the phone was not working and the toilet was clogged. All rooms have carpets in a design and colour that in 2005 could have been bright, or they were designed and coloured in a way that you would not see it even if you made an oil change on the carpet. Mineral water was not complementary, but sets you back 6 USD for a medium bottle. If you think this is a rip off, try to buy beer or wine downstairs. Free WiFi in the corridor section where I was was terrible (why would a hotel have zones of crappy and better reception of WiFi? are the room prices different?). Almost no signal and on top bandwith of the free WiFi is stark limited. In 2024, fibre optics and 5G are conquering the world, in this hotel you have to pay to have a bandwith for a decent voice call! The breakfast is limited to everything that makes your cardiologist a rich man. If you can, have your breakfast elsewhere and save the extra money.

Very happy with our stay.

Location was close to where my son and his wife live. Which is why we selected the hotel.

Price for parking was a little steep if you plan to spend multiple nights.

O hotel tentou debitar várias vezes valores diferentes no meu cartão de crédito que estava liberado apenas para uso de cartão físico (e não para débito online). Por isso acabou travando meu cartão por suspeita de fraude e tive dificuldade para desbloquear.

I appreciate the convenient location, the cleanliness of the rooms, and the friendliness of the staff.

When I made the reservation, there was no option for a room with two separate beds.

Mt husband and I were very satisfied.We enjoyed our stay

The location and the cleanliness.The hotel is very pretty decor and cozy. I felt safe secure.The parking garage is very convenient.Last but not least I love the breakfast excellent.My husband and I go to Virginia to visit our son and we will always stay at the Marriott Residence Inn. I forgot about the laundry room and the gym very nice and convenient.

I was very satisfied.It's a great hotel.

We feel grateful for the quality of our experience staying here.

We were very happy with all aspects of our stay. The room was very complete with a true kitchen, sitting area, and all of the amenities. We loved the breakfast and the service. They even provided a shuttle into old town. We'd definitely stay here again.

This was such a great location, close to the metro, in the historic district of Alexandria.

The room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices. The free shuttle to nearby attractions was very helpful, easy to schedule, and the driver very courteous.

Very comfy beds, very clean, nice room set up; nice and patient night desk personnel.

Parking cost way too high ($40!), add 30% in taxes to base room rate and total one night cost is just too high; too many breakfast staff standing around, in the way and ready to pounce the second the clock hit closing time; breakfast hours should shift to 1/2 hour later during week (starts & ends too early), everyone rushed, surge of people last 10 minutes frantic and pushy; nice workout center but could use better machines (male-leaning machines, loads of free weights — a simple ab/sit up apparatus, arm or thigh abductor would be better, free weights in two rooms went ignored.

friendly, accommodating check-in and ability to get late check out "grocery" items in lobby to snack and dine on for tired travelers shuttle to train/metro station breakfast choices and cleanliness of dining area

odd not to have a hair dryer in the room! couldn't get the windows open although it appeared to be possible

Excellent! Would recommend. Close walking distance to everything, subway and the King Street.

Wonderful 3-night stay. Smooth check-in and clean, comfortable spacious room. Breakfast was had a variety of items always and the area was clean and also lots of room to sit and eat. Has a shuttle to 1 mile from the hotel. Pick-up at the waterfront was quick and the bottle of water for the trip back to the hotel was a nice touch for a hot day. The outstanding factor for me was the quality of the staff. All from the front desk to breakfast to the shuttle were always warm, helpful, and efficient. They have a way of making you feel at home. Shout to my friends Tiffany and Mimi for their hospitality.

I'm thinking...... Still thinking.... Room view maybe but that did not affect my stay in the least.

Great stay.

The fact of having breakfast available made the start of the day very easy. Not having to look for a place to please all in the family was a big plus. The breakfast area was always clean and the staff was always attentive and very pleasing.
