This place was beyond expectations :). The staff is super nice, it was great to listen to the old Aspen stories. The place with unique atmosphere and a very decent price for Aspen. I was a bit afraid of the traffic noise, but it did not bother.

Very much like a 70s Lodge, but clean and very Qwaint
Perhaps newer mattresses.
4.5
no sofa or upholstered chair in the room. Very much a throwback place, and VERY overpriced, even for Aspen.

Location
very poor quality of windows, noise from Main Street

Very convenient location and has a bus stop outside the lodge which brings you to all the various ski mountains. The room is well-equipped and comfortable. Will come back again when I'm in Aspen!

Clean, roomy ski lodge.. walkable to town and the free town shuttle/bus “RFTA” that serves Aspen/Snowmass (airport too!) .. it drops off and picks up right on the next block so we didn’t even need a rental car. (RFTA shuttle comes like every 8 minutes).Staff was cool. Coffee, snacks and oatmeal packets available in office/lobby around the clock. Room wasn’t super fancy but clean and spacious, cool skis on wall, comfy beds, it met our needs perfectly. Short, beautiful walk to the heart of Aspen. We can’t wait to come back!
just to note for anyone who struggles carrying luggage / no elevator.. - you’ll have a few stairs to deal with- we were fine as we could carry our stuff no problem

Itwas very cozy and has wonderful facilities.
Nothing.

the receptionist gave lots of local info which helped a lot.
heater does not work, gave us a portable little heater, very loud.

Fairly quiet and low key. Decent price for what
you get.
A bit dated. Parking wasn’t always easy.

Loved the alpine decor and ambiance, easy to get to, good location, good room size, newish bathrooms seemed updated, kitchenette was fine, had a table to sit at, beds comfortable, seemed clean, actual keys were cool... don't see that much anymore
Aspen prices, street parking, hotel is "tired" at 50 years, was a little hot / airflow problems, piling sheets (buy new ones), add conditioner in the bathrooms, not the combo soap you get at best Western. They've not put much money into it and is probably making $$$ for the owner. Bathroom is updated okay though..

Quaint & memorable history. Room nicely renovated & clean. Jim the staff was very helpful about restaurants to visit with a map. Also gave me locations & map of places to photograph.
No A/C, but that is common for all hotels in area.

The lodge is within walking distance of most of the shops and restaurants. The staff was friendly and the room was spacious.
It’s a bit outdated

Spacious room. Neat history of the property. Very friendly and helpful staff. Kindness goes a long way to weary travelers.
Newer pillow. But everything else was superb.

beautiful lodge with big rooms and it was very clean and peaceful. great location too.
can’t think of anything, you’d really have to be a miserable person to have anything negative to say.

Second stay here, at the end of our backpacking trip. Was looking forward to staying here again. Would stay again, would recommend. Easy check-in/check-out, convenient location with everything in walking distance.
Weak wifi at times, limited parking on premises.

Location and aesthetics.
Bed bugs.

The Tyrolean motel is located on the main street in Aspen, within walking distance to all activities and eating establishments. The bus stop to all ski areas and the airport is within 100 yards. Staff is very accommodating, handling our requests efficiently. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and having a kitchen with stove top, microwave, and refrigerator is a nice bonus.
The only feature missing from this motel is a hot tub. Main Street traffic can be a little noisy in the morning, but ear plugs are provided if needed.
