The room and linens were very clean. The owners were friendly and helpful

The "non-smoking " room was reeking of smoke. The furniture, carpet, flooring and bathroom were all in rough shape.

One night, alright…two or more, go next door.

I’m torn on this review. The small operator is working hard, and very friendly. The price appealing to the frugal, since the competition is much more expensive.

No sidewalks in area, traffic horrible. Coffee weak and tasteless, Krispy Kreme doughnuts taste odd… carpets dirty, plumbing and lighting fixtures very old, strange noises abound, office always locked, no lounge.

The whirlpool was nice.

The whirlpool is small. Pillows are awful need to be replaced ASAP! The freezer needs defrosting. The window in the front area and bathroom needs cleaning very dusty and smoky.

Hotel was clean, comfortable and staff was super friendly and accommodating.

My expectations were not the best going there based on the price ($98/night) and pictures I saw online. 3 months ago it was the only hotel available for a Friday night only stay in Athens on homecoming weekend. It’s an older hotel but was clean, comfortable and the staff was super friendly and accommodating. It was a great experience. Can’t beat the value🙂

I would stay here again

I traveled on a motorcycle and I stay in these older motels so I can park my bike right outside my door. When I was unpacking my bike, the owner came over and said I could park in his covered reserved spot since it was looking like it might rain. The room could have been awful but wouldn't have mattered to me since the owner made this gesture.

The AC was not on when I arrived and the room was rather hot. I can understand saving money on electricity but after riding for 10hrs, a cool room would have been nice.

No thanks to a second stay

Great location, close to many places to shop and eat, and the front desk woman was very nice

The very small room smelled musty and moldy (which they clearly know because there's an air freshener plugged in by the door). The door had black stuff dripping down the back, and the walls everywhere were chipped, worn, and stained. The rug was stained as well by the door, and in the morning while it was raining, the rug felt damp. All of the outlet covers were cracked. It was a very old, shabby room BADLY in need of renovation.

Reasonably priced with no frills.

The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. The room was very reasonably priced.

The breakfast was below expectations. It consisted of packaged muffins that were expired by a few weeks. The room was very dated and was a little dirty around the edges of the carpet.

The jacuzzi tub

The room was sketchy. When we got to the door it looked like someone had beat it in and wouldn’t close all the way. The ppl that stayed beside us was so loud all night long we decided to leave early bc we couldn’t take the loudness and the weirdness from them anymore.

The breakfast was juice or coffee. The person working the desk was very polite.
