beautiful old house and garden that’s been completely restored.
Great owners, delicious breakfast. Peter provided a booklet of information on Camden and surrounding area. We will be back.

Warm, welcoming, historical property that oozes East Coast charm! The grounds are meticulously beautiful and a short walk to the downtown. The owners are personable and accommodating while the breakfasts were delicious. There is no place we would rather stay in Camden…don’t miss out on this magical experience!!
Nothing, we had the most amazing experience!

Beautiful and extremely comfortable accommodations. Great breakfast. Close to everything.

The owners are wonderful people who are incredibly helpful, providing maps, things to do, restaurant recommendations, and a tour of the house, all as part of the welcome package. The room was incredibly clean (the owners do however have cats, which I thought were charming but those with allergies be warned). Town is an okay walk away and there's plenty of dining options, for most cuisines and price points. Camden itself is a wonderful little town and convenient to the other towns along the coast. Breakfast is also wonderful and homecooked, even the sausages are homemade.
Parking might get a little crowded, but only if you have a heavy car. Walking to/from town involves some hills so may not be for everyone, and parking in Camden is tricky. Cell service is a little tricky in the area.

most pleasant and peaceful place I have stayed!

Wonderful and beautiful relaxed location close to town. Fabulous grounds. Tasteful and impressive interior rooms. The only thing better than the breakfast is the coffee! Janis and Peter operate in an efficient but relaxed manner which only adds to the ambiance.

Janis and Peter were the consummate hosts. Everything about the experience shouted class, thoughtfulness, and excellence. If ever you go to Camden, Maine - this is the place to stay

The property is meticulously maintained! Gardens and care of everything are outstanding and the owner gives each guest a tour of the rooms. The art is curated to a perfection and beautifully lit to show it off nicely. Do not allow small children to run loose amongst the Chihuly glass!
Breakfast in the sun room was delightful.
Our room and bed were small and the steps to the second floor steep. This could not be helped of course, owing to the historic age of the house, but would be good to note if you are mobility challenged.

Everything was absolutely wonderful! Peter and Janis are the kindest, warmest, most gracious hosts. The inn is full of charm and character, and the grounds are just beautiful. You can't beat the location - just a few steps from the heart of downtown Camden and the harbor. Breakfast was such a delicious treat as well. I'll certainly be back - this is my favorite place I've stayed in Midcoast Maine!
Nothing - everything exceeded my expectations!

Excellent breakfasts and location. Hosts were wonderful, cordial, knowledgeable. There was much attention to detail. The property has cozy outdoor seating spaces and beautiful rooms throughout the Inn. Town was short walk from the Inn, nice shops and restaurants, pretty harbor.

Excellent breakfast - local ingredients and well prepared.
Nothing to mention.

The location was great because we could easily walk into town . The inn also has beautiful property and gardens and we spent time sitting outside reading and relaxing.
There really isn’t much that could have been better, perhaps that our room was a bit small.

This B&B was by far our favorite. With all thing even, the hospitality took this one over the top. Janis & Peter were amazing - they gave us a tour of the home, baked cookies, and provided us a handmade booklet of best restaurants and things to do in/around town. One of their recommendations turned out to be BEST LOBSTER we ate in Maine. B&B was cute. Rooms/bed were comfortable. Breakfast was great. Plenty of places to rest, relax, and read (indoor and outdoors). Simply the BEST !!
Nothing - wish we would have stayed more than 1 day. Next year for sure.

It was a beautifully restored, well maintained, gorgeous colonial. Comfortable, quiet, with surprisingly spacious grounds. A welcoming sunroom served as a breakfast area, with a view of the grounds. It was one of the many rooms to enjoy. The breakfasts and conversations were excellent.
We had no complaints

it is neatly and beautifully managed historic house with more than 200 years of history. the property owner Peter and Janice are super nice and helpful.
it is 10-min walking distance to the center of town. a historical house equipped with modern technology.

The location was convenient as we could walk into town and see the harbor. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful with information about the Inn and local attractions and restaurants. The breakfasts were delicious. Made and served by Janis and Peter, they were exceptional.
The Inn is beautiful with some period furnishings along with beautiful art and sculptures. The grounds and acre yard are as pretty as any park I've seen. Just gorgeous flowers and shrubs.
The only thing we missed was the lack of T.V. There was one in the common area, but not in our room.

The accommodations at the Maine Stay were exceptional. A cup of hot tea out in the gardens in the afternoon was a true delight.
We were only a short walk from town and there was no need to use a car while staying in the town of Camden.
The owners of the B&B went above and beyond to welcome us to their Inn.

The breakfast was sumptuous and generous. As for the location, I must like it; I owned a home across the street from Maine Stay for ten years
