Very relaxing

Everything! Friendly staff love the hotel restaurant! Good food! Beds very comfortable love the view and location. We love the beach across the street.

Great weekend getaway with close entertainment

Close to the beach, family friendly, they don’t skip on alcohol, offer shuttle services, offer spa, offer beach butler or issuing hotel umbrellas and towels and chairs, great staff

One mild issue was the AC unit kept making this weird click or dripping sound while cooling the room but with some background sounds it’s tolerable

BEAUTIFULLY LOCATED, SECONDS WALK FROM THE BEACH

LOCATION WAS ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! Just crossed the stop light and I was in heaven on the beach. I LOVE that the location of the hotel is on the much, much quieter and solitary part of Carlsbad. There is also restroom access due to the RV/tent site in between the beach and the beach access from the hotel. IT WAS ALSO SO, SO WONDERFUL that there is a covered parking structure just right across the hotel. Parking was a breeze, thought not cheap for overnight parking. Loved that the walls were well insulated. I was worried because we stayed for 4th of July and there were a lot of guests. Our room overlooked the pool area, but, we did not hear a thing with all the guests at the pool and lots of guests in the hotel. Didn't hear door slamming, didn't hear people walking by or taking showers. That's a huge problem for me wherever I go. I didn't have to use my earplugs! I always bring a pair now when I check in to a hotel due to inevitable noise from neighbors. I was REALLY SURPRISED how well insulated the rooms are!

Check-in took almost an hour until our room was ready. I checked 3x at the desk for our room. That's the FIRST time in my life of traveling where my room wasn't ready at the time it's supposed to be, which they said at 4pm. Parking is WAY OVERPRICED, but so convenient. We can't win with parking fees.

Safe, comfortable, clean, pool and hot tub area is beautiful!

A back entrance had a slight urine odor. I forgot to inform staff. I am confident it would have been cleaned if reported given how clean the rest of the building was.

I would have loved either continental breakfast included with our stay or free parking. I think if you’re a guest at the hotel, you should have complimentary parking. I feel $30 a night is a little steep.

Overall, the property was clean and the staff were excellent.

The location and staff are excellent.

The rooms are nice but could fixed up a little. For example, the screen for the balcony kept getting stuck, they need to be fixed or replaced. There were other things like that need to be refreshed in the rooms.

Disgusting worms on floor. Dirty sheets. DID NOT GET ROOM PAID FOR. REFUND IS DEMANDED THIS IS NOT A RESORT

Some of the amenities listed in the rooms online were not provided like the take-home water cups and slippers. And they shouldn’t be charging the resort fee If the pool is closed and it’s the middle of a rainstorm, I asked him what the resort fee was for and they’re the pool, coffee, and renting bikes, like OK well we can’t do either of those, so why am I being charged a resort fee? 40 bucks is a little steep for a free coffee in the morning.

We love this hotel and will definitely be back.

Love the location right across from the beach. Clean, elegant, comfortable, great onsite restaurant. Lovely, helpful staff.

The phone in our room didn’t connect anywhere except to the restaurant which meant we had to walk down to the front desk for any requests. Highly inconvenient. The pool area was sometimes messy with food debris and used cups towards the end of the day.

Not worth the price.

There was no answer when you call the front desk, housekeeping, or dialing zero. Called several times. No response to a texting when texting on the stream where the hotel initially texted me on and said to text back when I needed anything. There was a 20 minute wait to get a table for breakfast with 30 empty tables and the hostess even stated that “no” we are not short staffed, we just don’t want to overwhelm the kitchen. Also, $30/night for parking is ridiculous.

Such an expensive stay

The valet staff were exceptional. The restaurant staff were also amazing.

There was a young white woman at the front desk who didn't take our requests seriously and was condescending. She was full of excuses instead of action. The pool was freezing instead of the advertised heated temp. It took multiple requests to have it checked. Then it did heat up after we asked again. I had a crying child by the time she listened. The room was not kid friendly. No bathtub was the biggest surprise.

nothing except the coffee not being set up until 7 am which is just too late in my opinion. when traveling with others, it’s nice to leave the room to go get coffee to not wake others.
