This turned to be our best stay on our Southeast Arizona birding trip.

It met our expectations. I was pleased that the A/C unit was the quietest one I’ve encountered this year. It made sleeping restfully possible. I’ve stayed in over 10 hotels/motels so far this year and most A/C units are noisy. One was so noisy it was difficult to sleep. Everything else was in good working order. A bonus was the empty lot next door. Us birders spotted several birds in the morning include a Gamble’s Quail, Northern Mockingbird, etc.

On a birding trip, we get early start so I did not get to try breakfast there. But the room looked cheerful. Fortunately the room had a frig, microwave, and coffee maker.

Cheaper, but by no means tawdry. Internet was strong.

Homey breakfast nook. Because I leave in the morning earlier than the breakfast service period, they allowed me to take some food the night before. Not many places allow this.

There was a generator parked in the property adjacent. It was noisy during the day. I'm not a hard floor kinda guy, and this room had no carpet.

well cared for, clean, lively breakfast area. and vert friendly, courteous staff, reasonable price, good location for numerous eating options. close to caverns, bissby, tombstone

more breakfast options but it was fairly consistent with current continental breakfasts in general

My granddaughter stayed in another room and it looked like there was blood on the ceiling and as we went into our room no shower curtain but staff took care of it rt away

good breakfast. convenient location. New local owners purchased from a national chain and have done a great job of renovating what was likely a tired facility. Two things impressed us--1) we were leaving early the first morning for birding before breakfast started, but the desk clerk invited us to come back about 9pm the night before when they set up for the next morning to "grab and go" what we would like and 2) we received maids' room service after the first night for our 2 night stay (1st time since pandemic that this has happened). This was 5 star value for the price!!

Room was reasonable clean, and rate was reasonable, staff was very nice.

Family run business.

Air freshener used was overwhelming. Air conditioning limped along. Web site stated smoking was only allowed away from rooms, but room next to ours had an ash container right in front of room. We were unable to open window for fresh air because we would get the second hand smoke.

It is faded and the lack of attention is taking a toll on this once chain hotel. Bed was comfortable but the tile coming off the wall and poor repairs made it feel less.than desirable. Staff was very nice and location was convenient.

traveled to Sierra vista to see hummingbirds.

the location and the bed was comfortable

the room I stayed in had a strange smell. couldn’t put my finger on it but didn’t like the smell. don’t know if all the rooms smelled like this. no elevator so had to drag all my luggage up the stairs.

It was dirty, room smelled musty. Carpets were dirty, toilet and tub dirty. Entrance door dirty on the inside frame overall. Hard boiled spoiled eggs were slimy not edible. Health department issue! Fresh eggs should be placed as part of free breakfast. The eggs were obviously old, slimy and discolored. Not sure if sheets and towels are being changed out.

I think the staff was great. The breakfast very good and way more variety than many places. More than a Continental breakfast for sure. In town but quiet being in the back although it is on a main thoroughfare, We stay in Sierra Vista frequently and this will be our number one choice if we choose to stay overnight,

Liked the layout of room. Parking was very close to room.

The new flooring was dirty. The bottom of my feet turned black. Asked the front desk to have floor mopped and no more black feet.

Just fine.

Friendly staff, easy in/out, room clean. Good functioning air conditioning (remember this is southern Arizona in mid-summer). When the breakfast bar finally did open was surprised to see whole milk available for coffee and cereal. No skim/2%--Yeah!

I would have liked the breakfast bar to be open before 7 a.m. You travel from a different time zone, your internal clock says "Coffee time." (Skip those funky little coffee makers in the room.)
