They provided us an empty tissue box without any tissue! Ridiculous! The shower towels were with obviously stains, like blood or something like that!

Close to interstate Anne price was good
Old…no carpet in the room or rugs so felt cold. Sheets were old and only a light blanket with a sheet in the bed. Pillows were lumpy.

The breakfast was awesome. The location was great. The fact that there was no carpet was a big plus. We liked the bathroom arrangement especially the two sinks. Enjoyed being able to use the table in the computer room to play card games with granddaughter.
The lighting in the main room could have been much brighter. At the North entrance the steps would have been easier to navigate if they had been wider. Wish we had been closer to the front.

My wife and I recently spent three nights at the Best Western Plus Steeplegate Inn in Davenport, Iowa during our vacation in the Quad Cities.
We picked the Best Western Plus Steeplegate Inn in Davenport because it had good rates and was rated three stars or above. Despite some ongoing renovations, we were happy with our stay. Compared to similar hotels, it was much cheaper and offered decent value for money.
We gave the hotel a five-star rating because we had a good experience overall. However, please note that we would classify it as a three-star hotel. The hotel has areas where it could improve, but we felt satisfied with our stay, especially considering the room cost us only $263.
Our room had a very comfortable king-sized bed with plenty of pillows. It also had a microwave, mini-fridge, and a comfortable leather chair with an oversized ottoman. The mini-Keurig coffee station was a nice touch, and we appreciated the large shower dispenser for body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion. The closet was spacious, and the desk was well-equipped with handy plugs. We would have preferred carpet instead of wood laminate flooring, but that’s just our personal preference.
The lobby was clean and impressive, with an ATM, mini-store, and a large coffee station. The hotel also had a well-equipped fitness room and a beautiful, fully enclosed courtyard. The indoor atrium was enormous, and the swimming pool was small but comfortable. Unfortunately, the jacuzzi was boarded over during our visit and was unusable.
The hotel’s bar, 1 Hundred West, was fantastic. It had live music, great food, and amazing drinks. The bartenders, Matt and Anthony, were delightful and made our visit even better. The bar was immaculately clean and had a modern, sleek look.
The person who checked us in was extremely pleasant and attentive. We didn't use room service, but it was available, along with wake-up calls, free Wi-Fi, and free amenities.
During our stay at the hotel, we encountered a few issues that detracted from our overall experience. The hotel was undergoing renovations, which were posted, but we noticed that there were ceiling panels in the hallways that had fallen through and needed repair. Additionally, there was a trash can near the entrance of our room that had concrete mix dumped in front of it, which we accidentally stepped in due to the rain and poor visibility. In our room, there was a chip in the wood of the cabinet that held the mini-fridge and microwave, which caused the door not to close properly. The shower also posed a problem with a low lip, causing water to splash onto the bathroom floor, and no safety handles were present in the bathroom, which presented a potential hazard.
One suggestion we have for improvement would be to replace the pool table and cues in the atrium. The pool table was uneven, causing the balls to get stuck and jam, and the pool cues were worn down, with no chalk available. It also cost four quarters to play one game, and the cue ball got stuck halfway through, which required us to use one of the colored balls instead. We also couldn't use the hot tub, which was disappointing.
During our stay, we had a complimentary continental breakfast from the restaurant on-site. Although there were many food options, we found the food to be mostly average and not very tasty. The orange juice was also a bit bitter. We only went there once, and we decided to skip it for the rest of our trip. They could improve the breakfast by providing fresher bakery goods and higher quality foods.
We noticed that the maid/make-up service could use some improvement. When we requested the service, they only picked up the dirty towels and emptied the trash bins; they didn't make the bed, change the sheets, or refill the coffee station. We wish they could have done more, but they were respectful of our personal belongings and didn't move or touch them.

Coffee machine at front desk was the only thing this hotel has going for it .
In the middle of remodeling . It was awful!!
Switched rooms 3 times before just giving up and asking for a refund !! The manager offered half of my first night stay . It was a nightmare experience. I left with no compensation whatsoever ever ! I do not recommend this hotel at all . Cold pool and really bad smell throughout the hotel .

Convenient location
Didn’t have heat, contacted front desk twice and stopped a guy outside my room after not hearing anything. Then I called again and they said heat was out in multiple rooms and they were going to buy some space heaters. 3 hours later it’s 55 degrees in my room, -15 below outside and the space heater was smaller than the lamp on the desk which he placed the space heater on. He also knocked on my door saying housekeeping and using his key to just walk on in. Completely unprofessional. He pretended to not speak English when I already heard him and spoke with him in English as well outside of my room. At this point I decided enough was enough and my boyfriend and I booked a room at the Residence Inn by Marriot. I went to turn my keys in and inquired about billing and not being billed…I was offered a discount. I couldn’t even stay in my room and I do have pics of the space heater, then a carbon monoxide detector not even hooked up for the room and then an electrical outlet covering hanging off the wall. There was kids running up and down knocking on hotel room doors, ice all over around first floor ice dispenser from out of control kids, it smelled so bad of smoke, musty odor and the awful smell from pool.

The property was very clean. Our first room had a loud noise and they moved us to another. we appreciated having a roll away bed for our teens and being able to bring our dog. The breakfast was outstanding, get there early for the fruit cups. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

We had a hot tub suite.
I was bitten by bed bugs and had to scrub our home to ensure we didn't bring them back. 😠🤬

The breakfast was outstanding and the breakfast staff are wonderful!
The air conditioning in our room was not working and although the hotel gave us a different room the temp went up to 75 even though the thermostat was set at 71

Staff were friendly. Restaurant was great. Bar was full and was a nice place to unwind even if you don't drink. Pool was heated and bug enough. Courtyard was nice.
Hot tub was broken. Breakfast was OK but could have been better.

Everything
The remote in my room wasn’t working. It wouldn’t let me turn on the closed captioned but we were there for tournaments so it didn’t bother me.

I WAS OVER CHARGED FOR MY ROOM. I CALLED TALKED TO THE MANAGER HE SAID HE WOULD REFUND THE OVER CHARGE BUT NEVER DID. I WILL NEVER TRUST THE STAFF ANYMORE.

The hotel was completely booked the weekend we stayed with both an air show and baseball tournament. However it didn't feel that way, not even breakfast felt crowded. Staff was great too. Good breakfast. Clean room.
My only problem with most hotels is how they handle the thermostat if they have one.
But no complaints here! This hotel was by far the best, i could get it to 65.

Location was good, easy access to shops, stores and within three blocks of major highway. Room was clean but I left the make up room card out twice and they did not come by. Breakfast was continental and steam table eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits.
There is a pool and some sort of game room in the middle of the building. Nothing wrong with it but the location is a little odd.

Nothing
Came to check in at 4pm. Stood in line for 30 minutes to be told our room wasn’t ready. The place was crawling with sketchy people. Beds were lumpy.

I loved the room and the location.
There were kids running the hallway knocking on doors and running off.
