I've stayed here before when it was named something different. Still owned by the same folks but the name change was basically a marketing thing the desk clerk said. Location is the main benefit of this property and the fact that everything is ground floor and you can park in front of your door, hence motor-inn.
The following isn't the motel's fault but I thought I might mention that many of the restaurants in Monticello were closed "for the season" which supposedly ends the last of September.
The motel needs updating at least the rooms I stayed in. I mentioned this in the review I wrote for the motel. There are not enough outlets potentially for everyone in the party to charge all of their batteries. The TV was never turned on but it may have been too small for the room anyway. Thank goodness for iPads and WIFI (which was good). The mattresses are meh. The coffee they provided was nasty, I bring my own coffee pot and Starbucks with me on every trip but I was able to brew my coffee in their pot.

This cute motor-inn in Monticello was neat and clean. The 1950's retro decor in the room was fun. Our room had 2 queen beds, TV, a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker. WIFI was good. We enjoyed meeting the friendly and helpful receptionist who had some restaurant suggestions. Like the name implies, you park your vehicle in front of your porch by your door, which is very convenient.
No breakfast.

Our room was in the back so it was quiet. Plenty of drawers to keep our things in for a 3 night stay. What a value. There was a small table in front of the window to eat at or play cards. Also another table to use computer or write out your plan for tomorrow's adventure. Comfortable beds. Clean with mirror and sink right outside of bathroom. Very convenient to Hwy 191.

Quirky and colourful accommodation with a sense of humor. Differentiating itself well from the competition. Clean, comfortable rooms with friendly staff and super value for money. Lovely breakfast at a local cafe just up the road too (High Desert Cafe)
Honestly, for a roadside overnighter, it really couldn't have been better.

Great retro motel. Great restaurant a few blocks way, The Granary.

The housekeeper left someone else's hair in the shower. Other than that, it's OK--especially if you want to go back in time for a night. The Inn advertises it's been around since 1940, and it has an old vibe to it. But if you like that, go for it!

Front desk clerks were awesome. Over and above on helping.

Love the new decor!

Great location & Friendly Staff.
The Motel is under renovation so you have to have some understanding of little things that might anoying like a lightly squeaky bead or watterfall noise from the Air Conditioning next door

IT WAS INEXPENSIVE. THEY HAVE DONE A GOOD JOB ON UPDATING A MID-CENTURY MOTEL.
IT IS RIGHT ON THE HIGHWAY GOING THROUGH TOWN SO A LITTLE NOISY. THE ROOM WAS QUITE SMALL

The facility was newly remodeled and had everything I needed. We enjoyed the quirky retro decor in a modern room. It was close to restaurants(Make sure to eat at the Granary.) and was also on our route to Arches National Park from Monument Valley. The staff were friendly and accommodating.
