We had a really nice Anniversary getaway here and will likely stay here again when we come back!

Breakfast was so good and really filling! Sitting on our porch having breakfast was so peaceful in our little garden forest setting. It was a really private oasis one block over from main streets so we could walk to Ice cream or coffee, and our hostess was so knowledgable about antiques that she sold in her little gift shop that it felt like we were somewhere in the french countryside. We would highly recommend this little B and B to any couple looking to getaway.

The bathroom fan was super loud so when you turned on the light, it sounded like a gardeners’ leaf blower. Should look into getting that replaced!

The Host was very lovely and accomdating I felt very welcomed I look forward to a future stay!

Nice location private parking in the back. easy access. Cottage was French Country decor with a private hot tub on small patio. Journal in the room to write about your stay. French coffee press and real dishes and utensils,very impressive! I Grounds well maintained and garden paths throughoutwould recommend to others.

Santa Barbara's Hidden Delight!

The Secret Garden Inn is truly a delight. Our charming, antique-furnished cottage was beautiful and exceptionally comfortable. The proprietress was extremely kind and warm upon our arrival; we just regret we could not partake of her home-baked croissants at breakfast the following day. The Secret Garden is very well situated in an old section of Santa Barbara between the downtown area and the Mission Church. Secure, off-the-street parking is a plus.

Musty room. Weird greeting by owner/manager wearing a moth holed sweater and driving an ancient Volvo piled with empty boxes. No introduction and she had a hard time finding our reservation, even though we had voluminous communication (probably the best part of our interaction) regarding our stay. Also, she was relieved that we weren’t going to use the hot tub so she didn’t have to get us to fill out the release form. The room lacked charm (the electrical meter inside on the wall in the bathroom and the circuit breaker panel on the bedroom wall didn’t add to the ambiance.)

Book direct so you can order breakfast!

Very beautiful location. Quiet and cute cottages, if that's what you book. I did not see an option for a regular room on Booking.

They need to tell people that you MUST order breakfast (tell them what time) the DAY BEFORE! I have travelled all over the world and have NEVER had this expectation. The email stated to "just tell us the time" with no indication how to do so. Call, reply? We arrived late (10:00PM) after work, driving for 4 hours. They messaged us through the app several times to clarify check-in and at NO time did they ASK about breakfast. There was a kettle with coffee but not creamer or sweetener in the room, the least they could do is provide that!

Location was fine, able to travel to and from event location was easy. Breakfasts were excellent and delivered on time requested.

Simple, Relaxing and Sweet!

The Cottages were unique with options of private spaces for time alone or communal outdoor seating. The overall property was quiet and relaxing.

The property is showing it’s age and needs some TLC. Our room was clean, however the bed sounded as if it was going to collapse and the door to the room did not shut smoothly. The hot tub was absolutely enjoyable, yet it also did not work properly and the cover had seen better days.

HORRIBLE

The privacy

The stuff is HORRIBLE! A lady called me prior my check in and she talked to me so rude because I didn’t check in at the time I said I was. When I got to the place she didn’t even welcome us, she treated us horrible and so sarcastically because I didn’t consider my 6 year old child as an adult, then she said well it doesn’t matter you’re already here. I have never experienced anything close to this, she made us feel like stinky trash literally! The whole experience was just terrible! We paid a bit more than $300 for a room with 1 bed and it’s fine we’re used to pay that and for that same reason we’re not used to be treated like this! I really wouldn’t liked to have stay there. This is the first and last time!

Great Stay for My Wife and I

Good location, clean, comfy, had everything we needed. The breakfast was EXCELLENT.

If I had to complain, parking was in an alley and the room is a little small/cramped. But I was aware of those things ahead of time so not a problem.
